Muir stopped the clock at a 49.93, followed closely by Wiliams&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Emma Waddell\u00a0<\/strong>and her time of 49.99.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abby \u00a0VanHarn<\/strong> of Calvin picked up the third place seed with a 50.19, followed by Trinity&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lindsay Hagmann&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>50.32.<\/p>\n<p>Careleton&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caroline Mather\u00a0<\/strong>took fifth with a 50.74, just ahead of a tie between Pomona-Pitzer&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Madison\u00a0<\/strong><b>Kauai<\/b> and Emory&#8217;s <strong>Marcela Sanchez-Aizcorbe<\/strong>. The two delivered matching times of 50.77.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marissa Bergh<\/strong> of Emory qualified eighth overall with a 50.82.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 100 Free<\/h2>\n<p>NCAA Record: 43.16 &#8211; Zachary Turk, Kenyon (2012)<\/p>\n<p>Top 8: 44.80<\/p>\n<p>Top 16: 45.17<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oliver Smith\u00a0<\/strong>of Emory put himself in range of the NCAA record with a 43.54 in prelims of the men&#8217;s 100 free. Smith&#8217;s time sits a shy .38 seconds away from the 2012 record of 43.16.<\/p>\n<p>Rowan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jesse Novak\u00a0<\/strong>and Keene State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryan Boraski<\/strong> held a tight race for the second and third place seeds, finishing a slim .05 seconds apart. Novak touched with a 43.60 for the second place seed, just ahead of Boraski&#8217;s 43.65.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zachary Wagner<\/strong> of Denison turned in a 44.21 for the fourth place seed, while Loras&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Isaac Casey\u00a0<\/strong>was fifth overall with a 44.40.<\/p>\n<p>Buffalo State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Connor\u00a0<\/strong><b>Merger<\/b> (44.55), UC Santa Cruz&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Ivan Garin<\/strong> (44.72), and Chicago&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alexander Farrell\u00a0<\/strong>(44.77) rounded out the top eight qualifiers.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 200 Back<\/h2>\n<p>NCAA Record: 1:56.23 &#8211; Brittany Sasser, Amherst (2008)<\/p>\n<p>Top 8: 2:00.37<\/p>\n<p>Top 16: 2:02.88<\/p>\n<p><strong>Olivia Jackson\u00a0<\/strong>of Williams uncorked a prelims swim of 1:56.43 in prelims of the women&#8217;s 200 back. Jackson slashed 2.01 seconds off her entry time of 1:58.44, setting herself up for a solid run at the title.<\/p>\n<p>St. Thomas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Emma Paulson<\/strong> turned in a 1:59.22 for the second place seed, followed by Bates&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Sara Daher\u00a0<\/strong>and her 1:59.62.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christina Belforti<\/strong> of Union touched fourth overall in prelims with a 1:59.78, while top-seed\u00a0<strong>Cindy Cheng\u00a0<\/strong>of Emory posted a 1:59.95 for fifth.<\/p>\n<p>Kenyon&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Delaney Ambrosen<\/strong> (2:00.52), Rose-Hulman&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Eleanore Hong\u00a0<\/strong>(2:00.61), and Wash U&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicole Zanolli\u00a0<\/strong>(2:00.70) completed the top eight qualifiers.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 200 Back<\/h2>\n<p>NCAA Record: 1:43.49 &#8211; Harrison Curley, Kenyon (2015)<\/p>\n<p>Top 8: 1:47.84<\/p>\n<p>Top 16: 1:49.17<\/p>\n<p>It was a tight field in the men&#8217;s 200 back led by MIT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gabriel Schneider\u00a0<\/strong>and his top qualifying time of 1:46.16.<\/p>\n<p>Recent NCAA record holder\u00a0<strong>Benjamin Lin<\/strong> of Williams posted a second place seed of 1:46.22, followed by close qualifying times of 1:46.58 and 1:46.60 between Denison&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jackson Lindell<\/strong> and Claremont&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Matthew Williams<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matthew Rogers\u00a0<\/strong>of Emory turned in a fifth place qualifying time of 1:46.70, while Tufts&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Kingsley Bowen\u00a0<\/strong>took sixth with a 1:46.96.<\/p>\n<p>NYU&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Carlos Colmenares<\/strong> and Denison&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jason Wesseling<\/strong> qualified seventh and eighth respectively with times of 1:47.02 and 1:47.15.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 200 Breast<\/h2>\n<p>NCAA Record: 2:12.20 &#8211; Samantha Senczyszyn, UW-Eau Claire (2016)<\/p>\n<p>Top 8: 2:18.26<\/p>\n<p>Top 16: 2:20.65<\/p>\n<p>UW-Eau Claire&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sam Senczyszyn<\/strong> set herself up for a sweep of the breast events with a top seed in the women&#8217;s 200 breast.
