The records continued tumbling down as Andrew Wilson<\/strong> of Emory unleashed a dominating NCAA D3 record in the men’s 100 breast.<\/p>\n

Women’s\u00a0100 Breast<\/h2>\n

NCAA Record:\u00a0<\/strong>1:00.54 – Lindsay Payne, Williams (2006)
\n2016\u00a0Champion<\/strong>:\u00a0<\/strong>1:01.01 – Samantha Senczyszyn, UW-Eau Claire<\/p>\n

Samantha Senczyszyn\u00a0<\/strong>of UW-Eau Claire successfully defended her national title in the women’s 100 breast, scorching the ‘A’ final with the only sub 1:02 finish. Senczyszyn stopped the clock at a final time of 1:01.64 for the gold.<\/p>\n

Denison freshman\u00a0KT Kustritz\u00a0<\/strong>posted a second place finish of 1:02.45, followed by Kenyon’s\u00a0Julia Wilson\u00a0<\/strong>and her time of 1:02.59.<\/p>\n

Emily Medeiros<\/strong> of Springfield touched fourth overall with a final time of 1:02.69, just ahead of Williams’ freshman\u00a0Caroline White’s\u00a0<\/strong>1:02.77.<\/p>\n

Emory’s\u00a0Hannah Lally<\/strong> (1:02.84), Wheaton’s\u00a0Erin Bagley<\/strong> (1:03.07), and\u00a0Denison’s\u00a0Katherine Mesaros<\/strong> (1:03.22) were sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n

Of note, Emory senior\u00a0Annelise Kowalsky<\/strong> topped the ‘B’ final with a 1:01.92, a time which would have placed second overall in the ‘A’ final.<\/p>\n

The men’s 100 breast highlighted by a trio of senior athletes leading the field to history and fast swims.<\/p>\n
Emory senior\u00a0Andrew Wilson\u00a0<\/strong>continued to flex his breaststroke prowess with a dominating swim in the men’s 100 breast. Wilson unleashed a 50.94 to take down his own NCAA record of 51.14, set in 2016, and add another gold to his collection. Wilson’s time currently stands as the fastest 100 breast time throughout all three of the men’s divisions for the 2016-17 season.<\/p>\n
Michael Lagieski\u00a0<\/strong>of Wash U in St. Louis posted a second place finish of 53.86, while John Hopkins’\u00a0Evan Holder\u00a0<\/strong>rounded out the podium with a 54.04.<\/p>\n
NYU’s\u00a0Timothy Kou\u00a0<\/strong>touched fourth overall with a time of 54.29, followed by Chicago’s\u00a0Reona Yamaguchi’s\u00a0<\/strong>54.66.<\/p>\n
The field narrowed further between the sixth through eighth place athletes as Coast Guard’s\u00a0Chasse Sodemann<\/strong> (54.75), Gustavus’\u00a0Tanner Sonnek<\/strong> (54.81), and Depauw’s\u00a0Samuel McManus\u00a0<\/strong>(54.94) rounded out the top heat.<\/p>\n
