Cook was followed by Nation&#8217;s Capital&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Phoebe Bacon<\/strong> who was second in 52.96.\u00a0<strong>Carly Quast<\/strong> of the Aquajets claimed third in 53.60, just out touching Suburban&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alexandra Sumner<\/strong>, who placed fourth in 53.61.<\/p>\n<p>Marlins of Raleigh&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Grace Countie<\/strong> finished fifth in 53.70.\u00a0<strong>Ashlyn Schoof\u00a0<\/strong>of Elmbrook came in sixth in 53.78.<\/p>\n<p>Seventh place went to\u00a0<strong>Caitlin Brooks<\/strong> of the Gator Swim Club in 54.22. Brooks out touched Nation&#8217;s Capital&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katelyn Mack<\/strong>, who was eighth in 54.23.<\/p>\n<h1>Men&#8217;s 100 Backstroke<\/h1>\n<p>Rockwood&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Dolan<\/strong> defended his top seed, winning the men&#8217;s 100 backstroke by over half a second with a time of 47.61. Second place went to\u00a0<strong>Spencer Walker\u00a0<\/strong>of the Academy Bullets in 48.13.\u00a0<strong>Luke Sobolewski<\/strong> of the Cincinnati Marlins was third in 48.23.<\/p>\n<p>Grand Island YMCA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Matthew Novinski<\/strong> finished in fourth place in 48.42.\u00a0<strong>Tyler Sesvold<\/strong> of St. Charles placed fifth in 48.53.<\/p>\n<p>Nation&#8217;s Capital&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Will Cumberland<\/strong> was the sixth place finisher in 48.68, just ahead of Metro Atlanta&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christopher Thames<\/strong>, who was seventh in 48.74.\u00a0<strong>Christian Ginieczki<\/strong> of Machine rounded out the top eight in 49.38.<\/p>\n<h1>Women&#8217;s 500 Freestyle<\/h1>\n<p>The women&#8217;s 500 freestyle was a battle between CSP Tideriders&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Genevieve Pfeifer\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Club Wolverine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sierra Schmidt<\/strong>. Pfeifer got her hand on the wall first and dropped five seconds from her previous best time to go 4:39.48. Schmidt came in just after her in 4:39.75. The duo was nearly five seconds faster than the rest of the field.<\/p>\n<p>Third place went to\u00a0<strong>Madison Homovich\u00a0<\/strong>of the Marlins of Raleigh, who touched in 4:44.03.\u00a0<strong>Sinead Eksteen <\/strong>of Nation&#8217;s Capital followed in fourth in 4:44.11. NASA Wildcats&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ella Tierney\u00a0<\/strong>was fifth in 4:45.14.<\/p>\n<p>Greater Tampa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Morgan Tankersley<\/strong> placed sixth in 4:45.70.\u00a0<strong>Paige Madden<\/strong> of City of Mobile finished seventh in 4:50.19, while Club Wolverine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Georgia Mosher<\/strong> was eighth in 4:51.49.<\/p>\n<p>12 year old\u00a0<strong>Claire Tuggle<\/strong> also broke the 11-12 National Age Group record with her time of 4:49.32. She finished in 25th place. Dolan dropped nearly a second from this morning to go 44.11. He was just ahead of Baylor&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Robert Freeman<\/strong>, who finished second in 44.32.\u00a0<strong>Samuel Pomajevich<\/strong> placed third in 44.47.<\/p>\n<p>SwimStrongsville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>David Madej<\/strong> claimed fourth place in 44.58.\u00a0<strong>William Messenger\u00a0<\/strong>of Marlins of Raleigh was close behind in 44.64.<\/p>\n<p>Sixth place went to Machine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Thomas Hallock<\/strong> in 44.77.\u00a0<strong>Henry Claesson\u00a0<\/strong>of Lyons Swim Club and\u00a0<strong>Colson Moore<\/strong> of South Eastern Virginia tied for seventh in 44.85.<\/p>\n<h1>Women&#8217;s 200 Breaststroke<\/h1>\n<p>Long Island&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Margaret Aroesty<\/strong> claimed her second breaststroke event of the weekend. After winning the 100 breaststroke on Wednesday, tonight she was able to hold off Marlins of Raleigh&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ashley McCauley\u00a0<\/strong>for the win. Both women dipped below the 2:10 barrier and dropped about two seconds each from their seed times, but Aroesty got her hand on the wall first in 2:09.43. McCauley was second in 2:09.82.<\/p>\n<p>Third place went to\u00a0<strong>Alexis Yager\u00a0<\/strong>of the Academy Bullets in 2:11.24. Houston&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kylie Powers<\/strong> followed in 2:12.85 for fourth. McCauley&#8217;s teammate\u00a0<strong>Abigail Arens<\/strong> was fifth in 2:12.85.<\/p>\n<p>Yager&#8217;s teammate\u00a0<strong>Sydney Vanovermeiren<\/strong> finished sixth in 2:12.86. Machine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anna Keating\u00a0<\/strong> was seventh in 2:13.85.\u00a0<strong>Kayla Jones\u00a0<\/strong>of St. Charles rounded out the top eight in 2:15.92.<\/p>\n<h1>Men&#8217;s 200 Breaststroke<\/h1>\n<p>Penn Charter&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Reece Whitley<\/strong> dominated the men&#8217;s 200 breaststroke field. His time of 1:52.64 was a four second drop from this morning and was nearly five seconds ahead of second place finisher\u00a0<strong>Spencer Rowe<\/strong>. Rowe, who represents Nation&#8217;s Capital, came in second in 1:57.21. He was followed by his teammate\u00a0<strong>Timothy Wu\u00a0<\/strong>who was third in 1:58.02.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jack Dalmolin<\/strong> of the Chattahoochee Gold picked up fourth place in 1:58.14, while Machine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Casey Storch<\/strong> was fifth in 1:58.69. Sixth place went to New Trier&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Charles Scheinfeld<\/strong> in 1:59.01.<\/p>\n<p>Snow Swimming&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael Burris<\/strong> finished seventh in 2:00.37.\u00a0<strong>Dillon Hillis<\/strong> of the Manhattan Makos was eighth in 2:00.76.<\/p>\n<h1>Women&#8217;s 100 Butterfly<\/h1>\n<p>The top four finishers in the women&#8217;s 100 butterfly all finished within .12 of each other.\u00a0<strong>Rachel Wittmer<\/strong> of the Aquajets was the first one on the wall with a time of 53.67. Second place went to Gators&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Talia Bates<\/strong>, who finished in 53.70. A pair of Nation&#8217;s Capital teammates,\u00a0<strong>Isabella Gati\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Abigail Harter<\/strong>, came in at 53.74 and 53.79 for third and fourth place, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Long Island&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kristen Romano<\/strong> picked up fifth place in 54.26. Wittmer&#8217;s teammate\u00a0<strong>Madison Potter<\/strong> placed sixth in 54.40.<\/p>\n<p>Another Nation&#8217;s Capital swimmer,\u00a0<strong>Brooke Matthias<\/strong>, finished seventh in 54.78. Greater Tampa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ella Marlow<\/strong> rounded out the top eight, finishing in 55.33.<\/p>\n<h1>Men&#8217;s 100 Butterfly<\/h1>\n<p><strong>Camden Murphy<\/strong> of Kingfish Aquatics led the men&#8217;s 100 butterfly from start to finish. His time of 46.58 was over a second faster than anyone else. Nation&#8217;s Capital&#8217;s Pomajevich picked up second in 47.77.\u00a0<strong>Tyler Sesvold<\/strong> of St. Charles finished third in 47.90.<\/p>\n<p>Marlins of Raleigh&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zachary Brown<\/strong> placed fourth in 48.25.\u00a0<strong>Zachary Smith\u00a0<\/strong>of Crimson Tide was fifth in 48.29.<\/p>\n<p>Sixth place went to\u00a0<strong>Luke Sobolewski<\/strong> of the Cincinnati Marlins in a time of 48.40. Nation&#8217;s Capital&#8217;s Cumberland came in seventh in 48.63, and Manhattan Makos&#8217;s\u00a0Hillis was eighth in 49.36.<\/p>\n<h1>Men&#8217;s 800 Freestyle Relay<\/h1>\n<p>The Nation&#8217;s Capital men dominated the 800 freestyle relay.\u00a0<strong>Jonathan Pollock<\/strong> (1:39.09),\u00a0<strong>Allen Ross<\/strong> (1:39.34),\u00a0<strong>Samuel Tarter<\/strong> (1:39.70), and Pomajevich (1:36.67) combined for a time of 6:34.80, which was three seconds ahead of the rest of the field. The Cincinnati Marlins team of Sobolewski (1:41.09),\u00a0<strong>Joshua McDonald\u00a0<\/strong>(1:39.92),\u00a0<strong>Nicholas Perera\u00a0<\/strong>(1:38.82), and\u00a0<strong>Justin Grender\u00a0<\/strong>(1:37.46) came in second in 6:37.29.
