CONCORD, California, July 29. ANOTHER two Pacific Swimming records fell during the second day of racing at the Far Western Long Course Nationals held in Concord, Calif.<\/p>\n

Santa Clara's Sarah Shimomura cleared a Pacific Swimming record in the girls 11-12 200 free with a winning time of 2:08.34. The previous record was one of the oldest in the Pac Swim books as Mary Gaugler set the mark with a 2:08.81 back in 1995. <\/p>\n

Pleasanton's Maxime Rooney, Regis Lachance, R.J. Scott and Jeffrey Tang crushed the boys 11-12 400 free relay Pacific Swimming record with a time of 4:03.86. Santa Clara Swim Club set the previous standard with a 4:05.13 back in 2007. <\/p>\n

In the 17-18 events, Catherine Breed won the women's 200 free in 2:04.28, while Greg Harper snared the men's 200 free in 1:58.08. Breed doubled up with a 2:24.26 in the women's 200 back. Evan Carlo pocketed the men's 200 back in 2:12.80. <\/p>\n

In the 15-16 events, Allie Davis touched out Allison Brown, 2:05.62 to 2:05.65, for the girls 200 free. Jack Miller earned the boys 200 free title in 1:55.69. Celina Li captured the girls 200 back in 2:21.19, while Nate Kuhn picked up the boys 200 back in 2:14.33. Pleasanton's Sasha Alcon, Brown, Kirsten Brand and Breed won the women's 15-18 400 free relay in 3:58.63, while Walnut Creek's Matt Williams, Harper, Miller and Andrew Dossa topped the men's 15-18 400 free relay in 3:39.94. <\/p>\n

In the 13-14 events, Jenna Bauer claimed the girls 200 free in 2:07.56, while Nick Silverthorn won the boys 200 free in 1:57.73. Elizabeth Pulido snared the girls 200 back in 2:22.36. William Lee grabbed the boys 200 back in 2:13.28. Osprey's Linnea Mack, Catherine Ladd, Jasmine Yaghutiel and Rachel Owen won the girls 400 free relay in 4:06.17. Palo Alto's Andrew Liang, Lee, Winston Wang and Sean Nguyen topped the boys 400 free relay in 3:47.97. <\/p>\n

In the 11-12 events, Rooney won the boys 200 free in 2:07.16. Kacey Oberlander topped the girls 200 back in 2:24.38. Daichi Matsuda edged Rooney, 2:23.55 to 2:23.99, for the boys 200 back title. Katelyn Sauder took home the girls 50 breast in 35.21. Curtis Shinn earned the boys 50 breast title in 34.52. Crow Canyon's Brittany Usinger, Gianna Garcia, Sarah Wang and Ariana Saghafi won the girls 400 free relay in 4:14.94. <\/p>\n

In the 10 and under events, Karah Folk touched out Raime Jones, 2:23.41 to 2:23.92, in the girls 200 free. Ben Wooldridge won the boys 200 free in 2:26.69. Josephine Mah placed first in the girls 50 breast with a 40.00, while Kevin Cui took the boys 50 breast in 39.95. <\/p>\n
