Women\u2019s\u00a0200 Butterfly<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Hannah Kastigar\u00a0<\/strong>from Northern State held onto her #1 seed from this morning, taking the women’s 200 butterfly in 1:58.36.\u00a0Oksana Marchuk<\/strong>, a freshman from Bridgeport, was out fast at the 100 in 55.97, but couldn’t hold on to the lead over the last 100 and ended up 2nd in 1:59.17.<\/p>\n

Queens junior\u00a0Mckenzie Stevens\u00a0<\/strong>finished 3rd in 1:59.31, while her teammates\u00a0Josephina Lorda\u00a0<\/strong>(2:00.51) and\u00a0Georgia DaCruz\u00a0<\/strong>(2:01.46) placed 5th and 9th to move Queens back into the lead in the team race.<\/p>\n

Men’s 200 Butterfly<\/strong><\/h3>\n
Queens sophomore\u00a0Marius Kusch\u00a0<\/strong>swam to the second NCAA record we’ve seen tonight, blasting a 1:42.04 to take down\u00a0Matthew Josa’s\u00a0<\/strong>2015 record of 1:42.96. Kusch was out fast in 22.26 and didn’t look back, leading at every wall to break the record\u00a0by nearly a second.<\/p>\n
UCSD senior\u00a0Gabriel Hernandez\u00a0<\/strong>was almost 3 seconds back in 2nd in 1:44.80, while Fresno Pacific freshman\u00a0Aleksei Averchenko\u00a0<\/strong>was 3rd in 1:44.86.<\/p>\n
