EARLIER this week, the <i>New York Times<\/i> featured the Avidasports technology recently introduced to the swimming community.<\/p>\n<p>According to the article, Avidasports&#39; technology package can be compared to the technology used by a crew chief to monitor the progress of a stock car in NASCAR, and provide up to the second feedback to the driver.  This same concept is available in the water with sensors being implemented into the pool and equipment worn by swimmers during training.
