2016 NCAA Champion\u00a0Serghei Golban\u00a0<\/strong>defended his title in the splash and dash, touching the wall in 19.53 to get to the top of the podium once again. While off of his NCAA record of 19.18, Golban was still a good 3-tenths of a second ahead of second place finisher\u00a0Mattia Schirru\u00a0<\/strong>from Delta State University (19.80). Queens junior\u00a0Paul Pijulet\u00a0<\/strong>pulled out a nice swim from lane 8, moving from 8th up to 3rd with a 19.83 to earn a spot on the podium.<\/p>\nQueens continued to hold onto their lead over Drury in this event with two swimmers in the championship final, out-scoring\u00a0the two that the Panthers were able to put up.<\/p>\n
