For more information about Agon, visit their website\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.agonswim.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AgonSwim.com<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>It was a three team battle at the top of the North Dakota Boys High School state championship this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Minot&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gerald Brown<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Griffin Schaeffer<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jaydon Mehlhoff<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Jordan Hamilton\u00a0<\/strong>out touched Century&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Eric Bergeson<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jayden Porter<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Trysten Ruhland<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Adam Nodland\u00a0<\/strong>1:38.79 to 1:38.81 to win the 200 medley relay.<\/p>\n<p>Century&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sam Artz\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 freestyle in 1:45.67. His teammate\u00a0<strong>Chris Birnbaum\u00a0<\/strong>finished third (1:48.30). Fargo North&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shaun Mengelkoch\u00a0<\/strong>was second with a 1:47.36.<\/p>\n<p>Brown claimed the 200 IM in dominating fashion with a 1:53.84. Bergeson also cleared two minutes in 1:59.08.<\/p>\n<p>Fargo South&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Luke Bergstrom\u00a0<\/strong>out touched Nodland 21.67 to 21.80 for the 50 freestyle title. Bergstrom then fell to second in the 100 freestyle with a 48.73.\u00a0<strong>Zack Bueling\u00a0<\/strong>of West Fargo Sheyenne was first to the wall in 48.13. Bismark&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Eric Krug\u00a0<\/strong>finished third (48.79).<\/p>\n<p>Bueling&#8217;s teammate\u00a0<strong>Dillon Stangeland\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 butterfly in 52.11. Centurty&#8217;s\u00a0Artz was runner up (52.58).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jacob Smith\u00a0<\/strong>of West Fargo Shetenne won the 500 freestyle with a 4:51.01. Birnbaum finished second (5:46.19) and\u00a0<strong>Brayden Rygh\u00a0<\/strong>of Grand Forks placed third (4:56.44).<\/p>\n<p>Mengelkoch combined with\u00a0<strong>Payton\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Delton Gabel\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Peyton Fisher\u00a0<\/strong>to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:28.31. The quartet also dominated the 400 freestyle relay in 3:15.97.<\/p>\n<p>Minot&#8217;s Brown clocked a 51.71 to win the 100 backstroke, just off his of state record of 51.16 swum in prelims. Bueling placed second (53.73) .<\/p>\n<p>Century&#8217;s Porter cracked a minute in the 100 breaststroke with a winning 59.81.
