St. Anthony&#8217;s claimed the 200 medley relay in record setting fashion. The team of\u00a0<strong>Conor Rutigliano<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Michael Chang<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Andrew Stange<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Justin Meyn\u00a0<\/strong>posted a 1:33.32, just a tenth faster than Half Hollow Hills&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Dylan Chan<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Alex Park<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ethan Tack<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Daniel Lee\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:33.42. Both teams were under the old Federation record of 1:33.83 set by Ithaca in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Stange then won the 200 freestyle in 1:38.21. The senior edged Saratoga junior\u00a0<strong>Zac Zwijacz\u00a0<\/strong>(1:38.62) and Chaminade&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christian Sztolcma\u00a0<\/strong>(1:38.86) for the title.<\/p>\n<p>Stange followed that up with a runner up finish in the 100 freestyle. Greeley&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tyler Hill\u00a0<\/strong>was first to the wall there with a 44.53. Brockport senior\u00a0<strong>Brandon Amthor\u00a0<\/strong>finished third (45.41). The entire top eight, and nine of the ten in the championship final were seniors. Seven of the ten swimmers in the B final were also seniors. With the rest juniors and only one sophomore in the mix, that event should look very different in coming years.<\/p>\n<p>The 100 freestyle was just the first win of the day for Hill. He also topped the 100 backstroke in 49.01, again leading a large group of seniors.\u00a0<strong>Chris O&#8217;Shea\u00a0<\/strong>of Rocky Point was on his tail in 49.26 while Lourdes&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Christian Thomas\u00a0<\/strong>(50.39) touched third.<\/p>\n<p>A different trio stood atop the 50 freestyle podium. Watertown&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Maclean Crossley\u00a0<\/strong>(20.38) won the event. Olean&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Seth Farrand\u00a0<\/strong>(20.59) took second and\u00a0<strong>Michael Tartakovsk\u00a0<\/strong>of North Rockland (20.77) finished third.<\/p>\n<p>O&#8217;Shea dominated the 100 buttefly in 48.76. Brooklyn Tech&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Elan Oumarov\u00a0<\/strong>finished second (50.11) and\u00a0<strong>Orry Zayit <\/strong>of Port Roslyn finished third with a 50.27.<\/p>\n<p>Shoreham-Wading&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jason Louser\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 breaststroke title with his 55.74. Hauppauge&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Casey\u00a0<\/strong>claimed runner up honors in 56.16 and Lewis senior\u00a0<strong>Evan Zhang\u00a0<\/strong>(56.24) was third.<\/p>\n<p>New Bro&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrew Babyak\u00a0<\/strong>(4:26.26) and Fordham Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Spencer LaFata\u00a0<\/strong>(4:29.62) both finished under 4:30 as the topped the 500 freestyle. In 4:32.37 Ithaca senior\u00a0<strong>Jamie Lovette\u00a0<\/strong>snagged bronze.<\/p>\n<p>The 200 IM went to Half Hollow Hill&#8217;s Park in 1:50.28. Louser (1:51.17) and Fordham Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nick Torres\u00a0<\/strong>(1:51.38) completed the podium.<\/p>\n<p>West Islip&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Patrick Carter\u00a0<\/strong>won the 1 meter diving with a score of 580.05. Ossining&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alec DeCaprio\u00a0<\/strong>was second with 538.75 points and Shenendehowa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nick Lydon\u00a0<\/strong>(521.80) placed third.<\/p>\n<p>Half Hollow Hills&#8217; Lee, Tack, Chan and Park swam a 1:25.27 to win the 200 freestyle relay, just .03 faster than Long Beach&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shane Morris<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Matthew Cannon<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ryan Aroesty<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Troy Morris\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:25.30.
