Swimming World Front Line<\/h1>\n

\"avatar\"Taylor Brien<\/strong> is the Circulation and Operations Manager at Swimming World. A native of Bettendorf, IA and a 2015 graduate of Illinois College, she has covered a variety of events since joining the SW team in 2015, including the NCAA Championships, World Championships, Olympic Trials, and 2016 Rio Olympic Games. \u00a0As Operations Manager, Brien oversees the organization and scheduling of event coverage, while also assisting in coverage of big events. Throughout the championship season she has assisted in coverage of the Power Five conference meets, in addition to the Women’s and Men’s DI NCAA Championships.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"avatar\"David Rieder<\/strong> is the host of SwimmingWorld.TV and a full-time staff writer. A contributor to Swimming World since 2009, he has covered NCAA Championships, U.S. Nationals, Olympic Trials and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. He is a native of Charleston, S.C., and a 2016 graduate of Duke University. \u00a0Rieder is Swimming World’s lead ACC writer and a national Division I commentator. He has provided on-deck coverage of the women’s ACC, SEC and women’s Pac-12 championships and will again be present conducting interviews and providing analysis at the Women’s and Men’s DI championships in Indianapolis.<\/span><\/div>\n

\"avatar\"Dan D’Addona<\/strong> is the lead college swim writer for Swimming World. He has covered swimming at all levels since 2003, including the NCAA championships, USA nationals, Duel in the Pool and Olympic trials. He is a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and a graduate of Central Michigan University. He currently lives in Holland, Michigan, where he also is the Sports Editor at The Holland Sentinel. \u00a0As Lead College Swim Writer, D’Addona helps coordinate the college coverage and provides in-depth coverage and analysis of the Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC. Throughout the championship season, he covered several of the Power Five conference meets and the NCAA Championships, providing live coverage as well as feature and analysis coverage.<\/div>\n

Mike Stott\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong>has a Masters in Journalism from Ohio University and has written for Swimming World and its family of publications since 1993. He attended Olympic Games in 1972, 1976, 1996 and has covered Olympic Trials and numerous NCAA championships for Swimming World. He has interviewed swimmers and coaches from every Olympic Games since 1936. He is an ASCA Level 5 coach and his high school swim teams have won nine state championships. He has been involved in swim team administration for more than 35 years and been a Ben Franklin Award recipient as a part of Swimming World\u2019s editorial team. In 2017 he received an Outstanding Service award from the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association.<\/div>\n

\"chuck-warner\"Chuck Warner\u00a0<\/strong>writes features for Swimming World, often on historical subjects. He has been a leader in competitive swimming for more than 30 years. He developed a respect for the sport\u2019s history by swimming in SW founder Bob Kiphuth\u2019s Saturday morning swim program at Yale, as a child. He has been president of the American Swimming Coaches Assn, a three-time USA National Team coach and authored two books, \u2026And Then They Won Gold<\/em> and Four Champions One Gold Medal<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\"wayne-goldsmith\"Wayne Goldsmith<\/strong> has been an influential figure in world swimming for more than 20 years. He is the Managing Editor for Swimming Technique Magazine and long-time contributor to Swimming World Magazine. He has written more than 500 articles on swimming, swimming coaching, swimming science, triathlon and swimming performance which have been published in books, magazines and online all over the world. \u00a0Wayne lives, writes and coaches on the Gold Coast, Australia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\"avatar\"<\/strong>Annie (Chandler) Grevers<\/strong> is an assistant managing editor and staff writer for Swimming World. She swam for the University of Arizona, winning the 100 yard breaststroke at the NCAA DI Championships as a senior in 2010. She was also a member of six NCAA Championship relays during her college career as well as a member of Arizona\u2019s NCAA Championship title in 2008. She represented the United States at the Pan Pacific Games in 2010 and at the Pan American Games in 2011, where she won the 100 breaststroke. She is married to Matt Grevers<\/a> and resides in Tucson, Arizona.<\/p>\n

\"avatar\"Cathleen Pruden<\/strong> is a 2016 graduate of Mount Holyoke College and the High School Content Manager at Swimming World. She was a four time All-American and a three time Academic All-American for the Lyons. She grew up swimming in and has also coached in Raleigh, North Carolina. Currently she is the Assistant Coach at Bowdoin College. As\u00a0Swimming World’s High School Content Manager she covers and manages coverage of high school state championship meets, as well as writing about college commits. She will be attending NCAA Division III and NCAA Division I Men’s Championships.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"avatar\"James Sica<\/strong> is the Men and Women’s Assistant Coach at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to CMU, he was a volunteer assistant coach with the Harvard women\u2019s program and an assistant with the Ithaca College men’s program.\u00a0Sica publishes weekly articles on a range of swimming topics while also coaching full-time at Carnegie Mellon University. Throughout the championship season James has assisted in coverage of the Division II conference meets and the Division II NCAA Championships.<\/span><\/div>\n

\"avatar\"Diana Pimer<\/strong> was a breaststroke\/IMer at Keene State College and is the NEISDA Conference record holder in the 200 IM. She is the assistant swim coach and assistant strength and conditioning coach at Keene State, as well as KSC’s head site coach for Greenwood Swimming. Pimer also helped coach 2016 Paralympic bronze medalist Robert Griswold. \u00a0As the Division III Correspondent, Pimer has covered Division III competition throughout the NCAA season including dual meets and winter invitationals. She covered the majority of conference championships across the nation and will be the lead reporter for the upcoming 2017 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\"jr-rosania\"Jr Rosania\u00a0<\/strong>writes a monthly column of dryland exercises and programs for swimmers of all ages and levels of ability.\u00a0\u00a0 JR is one of USA’s top performance enhancement coaches and was selected as one of AMERICA’S TOP TRAINERS by MEN’S JOURNAL Magazine (December 2004 and 2005). \u00a0JR’s expertise is incorporating his unique core training system with sport specific resistance exercises and conditioning activities to improve the body’s ability to perform at peak levels and deliver this training to athletes around the world. \u00a0JR’s clients include Olympic, professional and elite athletes. His resume includes positions as Strength and conditioning consultant to Yale, and consultant to Stanford University swim teams; and past strength and conditioning coach for the Phoenix Suns.\u00a0 JR helped train swimmers Misty Hyman, Gary Hall to Olympic Gold medals. \u00a0JR is the dryland swim expert for several national, international and University swim programs and a consultant to a number of clubs across the United States.<\/p>\n

\"Rod-Havriluk\"Dr. Rod Havriluk<\/strong> is a biomechanist who specializes in swimming technique and is president of Swimming Technology Research. He has written many articles for Swimming World<\/em> and was named one of the top ten people with the greatest impact on swimming in 2015. He serves on boards for the Counsilman Center for the Science of Swimming; the International Swim Coaches Association; and the Journal of Swimming Research<\/em>. His research focuses on three primary areas: optimizing technique, preventing shoulder injuries, and accelerating skill learning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\"avatar\"Dr. G. John Mullen<\/strong> received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science of Health from Purdue University. He is the owner of COR<\/a>, strength and conditioning consultant, creator of the Swimmer’s Shoulder System<\/a>, Dryland for Swimmers<\/a>, and is chief editor of Swimming Science<\/a> and the Swimming Science Research Review.<\/p>\n

\"peter-bick\"Peter Bick<\/strong><\/strong>\u00a0is Swimming World\u2019s Chief Photographer.\u00a0 He specializes in sports, nature and event photography. Peter has photographed the Super Bowl and Big Ten Football Championships, Olympic Trials in Swimming, Diving, Rowing, Synchronized Swimming, and Wrestling; NCAA Championships in Swimming and Diving, Track and Field, Rowing and Water Polo; World Championships in Diving, Rowing, Gymnastics, Swimming and Basketball; National Championship events in Swimming, Rowing, Basketball, Gymnastics, Track and Field, and Water Polo; Davis Cup Tennis and CART auto racing and U.S. National Drag races.<\/div>\n

\"matt-rubel\"Matt Ruble<\/strong>\u00a0is a freelance photographer based out of Phoenix, Arizona, where he resides with his wife and daughter. As a new member of the Swimming World team he has covered college dual meets at ASU, in addition to shooting Swimming World’s March 2017 cover photo.<\/div>\n

Designers<\/h1>\n

\"emmi-b\"Emmi\u00a0Brytowski\u00a0<\/strong>has the ability to develop and produce outstanding work in both print and digital medias. She works extensively with layout design, brand development, and photography. Having a comprehensive knowledge of the Creative Suite and latest web technologies, \u00a0Brytowski can work efficiently without compromising quality. Classically trained in graphic design at Arizona State University, she has developed a sensitive eye to the most minor of details that affect an overall design. When not working she can be found practicing yoga and racquetball, or working on hand lettering with a deliciously strong iced coffee.<\/p>\n

\"joe-johnson\"Joe Johnson<\/strong>\u00a0is a graphic designer\/ video editor \/ content manager for Swimming World. In addition to his career in graphic design, Joe was a successful club and high school swim coach in Phoenix, Ariz., with over 15 years experience.<\/p>\n

Senior Editors<\/h1>\n

\"bob-ingram\"<\/strong>Bob Ingram<\/strong> is senior editor of Swimming World. A journalism graduate of USC in 1971, he has been with the company for 45 years, beginning in April 1972, working with publisher Al Schoenfield. During his first 30 years with the company, Ingram traveled the world extensively, covering all levels of competition\u2014national and international\u2014including four Olympics and four World Championships. Ingram, a native Southern Californian who now lives in Flagstaff, Ariz., is responsible for editing and production of the print magazine.<\/p>\n

\"phil-whitten\"Phil Whitten<\/strong>\u00a0retains the title as Editor-in-Chief Emeritus with responsibility of reviewing content in Swimming World Magazine<\/em>. \u00a0As the former Editor-in-Chief of Swim Magazine<\/em>, Swimming World<\/em>\u00a0Magazine<\/em> and Swimming Technique<\/em>\u00a0Magazine, Whitten remains active in reviewing editorial content from a historical perspective. \u00a0Whitten was an All-America swimmer at San Jose State University, but was better known as a campus activist promoting civil rights and protesting the Vietnam war. Whitten won a graduate scholarship to Harvard and earned an interdisciplinary doctorate. Whitten has taught at three universities, including Harvard. Whitten has authored or co-authored 18 books, including \u201cThe Complete Book of Swimming\u201d (Random House).<\/p>\n

Social Media<\/h1>\n
\"caroline\"Caroline Kosciusko\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong>is an enthusiastic and charismatic graphic designer and social media specialist. She swam collegiate at Springfield College in MA, where she was an All American Sprint Freestyler. She has been working in the professional swimming world since 2013, and joined the Swimming World team in 2015 as their Social Media Director. Caroline loves working with her interns and getting them hands on experience with a professional company where they can learn fast paced and accurate reporting within the sports world.<\/div>\n
\n

\"natalya-wozab\"Natalya Wozab<\/strong>\u00a0is\u00a0<\/strong>a first year swimmer at Brandeis University from Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. Her events are breaststroke, IM, and sprint free. She is majoring in international relations and minoring in Spanish and journalism. Wozab wanted to be a SW social media intern because she loves keeping up to date with swimming related news and and sharing it with swim fans just like her.<\/p>\n

\"maren-rincon\"Ma<\/strong>ren Rincon\u00a0<\/strong>is originally from Chandler,\u00a0Arizona. \u00a0She is currently a Junior at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) and is majoring in Media Communications and Journalism with a concentration in PR and Advertising with a minor in Business. Along with her academics, She is a NCAA Division I collegiate student-athlete as a member of the UNO Swim and Dive team. \u00a0She enjoys communicating with an audience through the use of graphics and text to illustrate a message across different mediums of communication.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\"Hicks_Jason\"Jason Hicks\u00a0<\/strong>was born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado. He is a junior at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction majoring in marketing and minoring in sport management. He an academic all-american specializing in mid and distance freestyle. \u00a0He enjoys fishing and skiing!<\/p>\n

\"dakota-rhodes\"Dakota K. Rhodes<\/strong> is A 21 year old backstroke and freestyle specialist. Born and raised in central Indiana. He has been swimming competitively for the past 10 years of his life, and still loves the feeling of getting up on the blocks. He is currently attending Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN.\u00a0 Dakota is majoring in German and minoring in Classical studies. After college Dakota hopes to purse a dual masters degree in School of Public and Environmental Affairs (MPA-MSES). Dakota hopes that others branch out of their comfort zone and try something knew everyday, because life is too short not to.<\/p>\n

\"rachael-marasco\"Rachel Marasco<\/strong> is from Rockville Centre, New York. \u00a0In high school, she swam for head coach Rob Ortof<\/strong> on the Long Island Express. She is currently a junior at the College of the Holy Cross and is studying Economics with a Computer Science minor. \u00a0Marasco is a breaststroker and IMer for the Crusaders under head coach Barry Parenteau<\/strong>. \u00a0Along with being a Social Media Intern for Swimming World Magazine, she is also the Social Media Manager for her Swim & Dive team at school. \u00a0\u201cWorking with Swimming World has been such a great experience!\u201d<\/p>\n

Swimming World Intern Class of 2017<\/h1>\n
\n\"avatar\"Chandler Brandes<\/strong> is a sophomore at the University of Vermont where she is majoring in public communication and double minoring in coaching and sports management. She swims distance free and IM for their Division 1 program. In her second year as a SwimmingWorld<\/span><\/i> college intern, Brandes is covering eight college conference meets this Championship season. She gained valuable experience about meet coverage last year and looks forward to the opportunity to do it again. A current sophomore at the University of Vermont, she recently finished her own swim season and is glad to share in the excitement of other conference meets.<\/span><\/p>\n
\"avatar\"Caitlin Daday<\/strong> is a rising junior at Villanova University. She represents the Wildcats in distance freestyle and IM. Caitlin hails from Allentown, Pennsylvania. Daday, one of Swimming World\u2019s college interns, covered the Atlantic 10 conference meet in addition to assisting with coverage of multiple high school state meets.<\/div>\n
\n\"avatar\"Emily Messina<\/strong> is a sophomore at The Catholic University of America where she is majoring in media and communication studies and minoring in sport management. She is a mid-distance freestyler and butterflier for their swim team.<\/div>\n

\"avatar\"Zach Breeding<\/strong> is a freshman at Mckendree University where he is majoring in philosophy with a pre-law designation. He is also a Breaststroker and member of the inaugural swim team at Mckendree University coached by Jimmy Tierney.<\/strong><\/div>\n

\"avatar\"Matthew Barnard<\/strong> is a BigTen Champion and NCAA All-American diver studying and competing at the University of Minnesota. Born and raised in Australia, he is in his senior year double majoring in journalism and history.<\/div>\n

He currently coaches Crimson Tide Masters swimming and is a fifth year assistant with the Alabama program.
