A native of Bettendorf, IA and a 2015 graduate of Illinois College, she has covered a variety of events since joining the SW team in 2015, including the NCAA Championships, World Championships, Olympic Trials, and 2016 Rio Olympic Games. \u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As Operations Manager, Brien oversees the organization and scheduling of event coverage, while also assisting in coverage of big events. He has interviewed swimmers and coaches from every Olympic Games since 1936. He is an ASCA Level 5 coach and his high school swim teams have won nine state championships. She swam for the University of Arizona, winning the 100 yard breaststroke at the NCAA DI Championships as a senior in 2010. She was also a member of six NCAA Championship relays during her college career as well as a member of Arizona\u2019s NCAA Championship title in 2008. She represented the United States at the Pan Pacific Games in 2010 and at the Pan American Games in 2011, where she won the 100 breaststroke. She is married to <a title=\"Matt Grevers\" href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?s=Matt+Grevers\">Matt Grevers<\/a> and resides in Tucson, Arizona.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"avatar avatar-80 avatar-default alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/swimmingworld.azureedge.net\/news\/cathleen-pruden-headshot-77.jpg\" alt=\"avatar\" width=\"80\" height=\"80\" \/><strong>Cathleen Pruden<\/strong> is a 2016 graduate of Mount Holyoke College and the High School Content Manager at Swimming World. She was a four time All-American and a three time Academic All-American for the Lyons. She grew up swimming in and has also coached in Raleigh, North Carolina. Currently she is the Assistant Coach at Bowdoin College. As\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Swimming World&#8217;s High School Content Manager she covers and manages coverage of high school state championship meets, as well as writing about college commits. She is the assistant swim coach and assistant strength and conditioning coach at Keene State, as well as KSC&#8217;s head site coach for Greenwood Swimming. Pimer also helped coach 2016 Paralympic bronze medalist Robert Griswold. \u00a0As the Division III Correspondent, Pimer has covered Division III competition throughout the NCAA season including dual meets and winter invitationals. He serves on boards for the Counsilman Center for the Science of Swimming; the International Swim Coaches Association; and the <em>Journal of Swimming Research<\/em>. In her second year as a <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SwimmingWorld<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> college intern, Brandes is covering eight college conference meets this Championship season. She gained valuable experience about meet coverage last year and looks forward to the opportunity to do it again. He currently coaches Crimson Tide Masters swimming and is a fifth year assistant with the Alabama program. She holds multiple MHC swimming records, has been featured as MHC\u2019s Athlete of the week, and was a finalist at this year\u2019s NEWMAC conference championships.
