Ledecky split a ridiculous 52.67 on the way home and pulled into the wall in 3:57.68.<\/p>\n<p>That beat the previous American record of 3:57.89 set by\u00a0<strong>Caitlin Leverenz<\/strong> at the 2012 NCAA championships.
