The meet got off to a quick start as Carmel&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Drew Kibler\u00a0<\/strong>set the boys <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/drew-kibler-downs-200-free-national-public-high-school-record-in-prelims-of-indiana-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Public High School record<\/a> in the 200 free. He also\u00a0decimated the 200 freestyle state record. The junior posted a time of 1:33.30, over five seconds faster than his seed and nearly four seconds faster than the old mark.
