The Harvard freshman posted a time of 1:31.56 in the 200 free, fast enough for an NCAA Automatic cut.<\/p>\n<p>His swim ranks him sixth on the all-time list and is\u00a0first in the NCAA so far this year.<\/p>\n<p>Not too long after that,\u00a0Farris was back in the water to set a new meet record in the 100 back, just a hair shy of the A standard.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/results\/2017-mens-ivy-league-day-3-finals-day-3\/ncaa-college\/2017\/February\/24\" target=\"_blank\">2017 Men&#8217;s Ivy League Day 3 Finals &#8211; Results<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>1000 Free:<\/h2>\n<p>Yale&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kei Hyogo\u00a0<\/strong>won the 1000 free in 8:49.45, clipping one tenth off the previous Ivy League Record. The junior, who last night won the B-Final in a time that would&#8217;ve won the entire event,\u00a0also broke the pool record by over three seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Harvard&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brennan Novak<\/strong>, who won the 500 last night, took silver in 8:50.79. The previous meet record was set back in 2009 while the former pool record was set by\u00a0<strong>Rowdy Gaines\u00a0<\/strong>in 1980.<\/p>\n<p>The freshman&#8217;s time is an NCAA A standard by nearly one and a half seconds. The team of Manchester (47.19), McNamara (52.72), Yakubovich (45.61), and Farris (41.46) combined to take the title in 3:06.98.<\/p>\n<p>Their time broke the meet record by 2.5 seconds and the pool record by 4.5 seconds. They\u00a0were also under the NCAA A standard.
