Swanson turned in a 3:41.13 to claim first and lower his prelims time by close to four seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Picking up second was Minnesota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jakub Maly<\/strong> with a final time of 3:44.41, while third went to Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ching Lim<\/strong> (3:46.89).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joshua Brooks<\/strong> of Purdue finished fourth overall with a 3:47.58, followed closely by the Michigan duo of\u00a0<strong>Cameron Stitt<\/strong> (3:47.72) and\u00a0<strong>Patrick\u00a0<\/strong><b>Hansford<\/b> (3:47.79).<\/p>\n<p>Purdue&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Adam Noens<\/strong> took seventh with a 3:48.17 and Michigan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Stephen\u00a0<\/strong><b>Holmqvist<\/b> was eighth with a 3:48.21.<\/p>\n<h3>200 Free<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Blake Pieroni\u00a0<\/strong>of Indiana uncorked a 1:32.13 in finals of the men&#8217;s 200 free, improving upon his prelims time of 1:33.72.<\/p>\n<p>It was a tight race Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Joshua Fleagle<\/strong> and Michigan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Felix Auboeck<\/strong> as the two dueled for second. Finnerty stopped the clock at a 51.38 for the win, scraping .67 seconds off his prelims time of 52.05. Finnerty&#8217;s time not only downed the Indiana school record, but it also took down the B1G Conference and Championship meet records. The previous B1G record was a 51.50 set by\u00a0<strong>Cody Miller<\/strong> in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jacob Montague<\/strong> took second overall with a 52.08, while the bronze medal was picked up by Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Barone<\/strong> and his time of 52.26.<\/p>\n<p>The Minnesota duo of\u00a0<strong>Conner McHugh<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Eric Sande<\/strong> posted close times of 52.44 and 52.52 for fourth and fifth respectively, while Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Levi Brock<\/strong> was sixth with a 52.91.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christopher Klein<\/strong> of Michigan and\u00a0<strong>Gunther Cassell\u00a0<\/strong>of Penn State grabbed seventh and eighth with times of 53.08 and 54.38 respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>100 Back<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Shane Ryan<\/strong> of Penn delivered a dominating performance in finals of the men&#8217;s 100 back. Ryan finished close to a full second ahead of the competition in B1G Conference and Championship meet record style. His time of 44.65 slides past\u00a0<strong>Matt McHugh&#8217;s<\/strong> previous record of 45.07, set at last year&#8217;s championships.<\/p>\n<p>Picking up second was Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Matt McHugh\u00a0<\/strong>with a final time of 45.52, while Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Robert Glover<\/strong> took third with a 46.45.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thomas Trace<\/strong> of Ohio State added a fourth place finish of 46.53, followed closely by Michigan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tristan Sanders<\/strong> (46.61).<\/p>\n<p>Michigan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Luke Papendick<\/strong> (47.08), Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrew Appleby<\/strong> (47.30), and Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mark Belanger<\/strong> (47.53) were sixth through eighth respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>3-Meter Diving<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Michael Hixon<\/strong> of Indiana took home the title in the men&#8217;s 3-meter diving, gathering a final score of 520.40.<\/p>\n<p>Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Collin Zeng<\/strong> picked up second with a score of 510.30, while Purdue&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Steele Johnson\u00a0<\/strong>finished third with 506.45.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hector Boissier<\/strong> of Penn State grabbed fourth with a total of 465.85, followed by Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>James Connor&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>455.95.<\/p>\n<p>Purdue&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Joseph Cifelli<\/strong> (452.55) was sixth, just ahead of the Ohio State duo of\u00a0<strong>Christopher Law<\/strong> (431.75) and\u00a0<strong>Stephen Romanik<\/strong> (346.15).<\/p>\n<h3>200 Free Relay<\/h3>\n<p>The 200 free relay final came down to a title battle between the first and second and the third and fourth place teams.
