INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, June 1. THE FINA Diving World Cup, the top international competition of the 2010 season, officially starts June 2 in Changzhou, China, but a new diving event will debut Tuesday.<\/p>\n
FINA will conduct a "team event" on June 1, and David Boudia (Noblesville, Ind.) and Haley Ishimatsu (Seal Beach, Calif.) will make up the U.S. team.<\/p>\n
Each team must consist of one male and one female diver, each of whom must do three dives. Of the six dives, three must be from the 10-meter platform and three from the 3-meter springboard, and each diver must do at least one dive from each board. Additionally, each of the six dive categories (reverse, armstand, etc.) must be represented. <\/p>\n
Boudia will do a reverse 3 \u00bd tuck and an inward 3 \u00bd tuck from 3-meter and a forward 4 \u00bd tuck on 10-meter. Ishimatsu will perform a back 2 \u00bd pike on 3-meter and a back 2 \u00bd with 1 \u00bd twists and a forward armstand double somersault with a twist on 10-meter.<\/p>\n
The team event will begin at 4 p.m. on June 1. The FINA Diving World Cup will run June 2-6.<\/p>\n
