{"id":242253,"date":"2017-02-22T12:46:28","date_gmt":"2017-02-22T19:46:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=242253"},"modified":"2017-02-22T13:42:24","modified_gmt":"2017-02-22T20:42:24","slug":"2017-ncaa-division-ii-championships-pre-selection-psych-sheet-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/2017-ncaa-division-ii-championships-pre-selection-psych-sheet-released\/","title":{"rendered":"2017 NCAA Division II Championships Pre-Selection Psych Sheet Released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One day after the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/2017-ncaa-division-iii-championships-pre-selection-psych-sheet-released\/\" target=\"_blank\">pre-selection psych sheet was released for Division III<\/a>, the USA Swimming stats department has released the Division II version.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2017-ncaa-d2-championships-pre-selection-psych-sheet-ncaa-college-2017-03-08.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">2017 NCAA Division II Pre-Selection Psych Sheet<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This psych sheet is not official and is mainly used by coaches to double check their entries, but it also provides the swimming community with a number of\u00a0storylines to keep an eye on as we approach the 2017 NCAA Division II Championships. The Division II version of the meet will run from March 8-11 in Birmingham, AL.<\/p>\n<p>Drury&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Bailee Nunn<\/strong> is seeded first in all four of her events, the 200 IM, 100 fly, 100 breast and 200 breast, while West Chester&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Georgia Wright<\/strong> holds multiple top seeds in the 1000 and 1650 free. Nova Southeastern&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emma Wahlstrom<\/strong>, meanwhile, is seeded first in the 200 and 500 free, and West Florida&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Theresa Michalak\u00a0<\/strong>is seeded first in the 50 and 100 free and second in the 100 breast and 100 fly. The 100 breaststroke looks like it will be one of the must-watch events of the meet, as all top three seeds have swum faster than Michalak&#8217;s winning time from 2016.<\/p>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side,\u00a0<strong>Anton Lobanov\u00a0<\/strong>of Nova Southeastern paces the field in both breaststroke events, and Colorado Mesa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sam Bryant\u00a0<\/strong>holds the top spot in the 1000 free and 1650 free while sitting second in the 400 IM and fourth in the 500 free. Drury&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Konrad Stepien\u00a0<\/strong>will also be one to watch.
