This is the fifth consecutive year that the meet will be hosted at the Lee and Joe Jamail Center, with the meet\u00a0running from Wednesday, February 22nd to Saturday, February 25th. The University of Texas returns as the championship team for both the men and the women.<\/p>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side, Texas has taken home the championship title each year since the conference&#8217;s inception in 1996, while the Texas women will look to defend for the fifth year straight.<\/p>\n<p>Here are five races to keep a close eye on:<\/p>\n<h3>1. Schooling, a junior, enters as the top seed with a 44.62, while Conger, a senior, sits close behind with a 44.78. The two were part of Texas&#8217; legendary 1-2-3-4 finish\u00a0in the 100 fly at the 2015 NCAA Division I Championships where the two finished first and second respectively. Texas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Tate Jackson<\/strong> leads the charge with a 19.25, followed closely by teammates\u00a0<strong>Brett Ringgold<\/strong> (19.38),\u00a0<strong>Jack Conger<\/strong> (19.43), and\u00a0<strong>Joseph Schooling<\/strong> (19.70). However,\u00a0<strong>Merwane Elmerini<\/strong> of West Virginia has his name in the mix with a fifth place seed time of 19.99. Anything can happen in the short 50 yard sprint, leaving Elmerini with a chance to grab a spot on the podium.<\/p>\n<h3>4. Texas sophomores\u00a0<strong>Olivia Anderson<\/strong> (1:00.14) and\u00a0<strong>Brooke Hansen\u00a0<\/strong>(1:01.56)\u00a0enter alongside senior\u00a0<strong>Jordan Surhoff\u00a0<\/strong>(1:00.67) as the top three seeds, each with seed times just under a second and a half apart. However, Iowa State juniors\u00a0<strong>Danica Delaquis\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.60) and\u00a0<strong>Kasey Roberts<\/strong> (1:02.71) sit approximately one second behind according to seed times, a much smaller margin than in other races. On the women&#8217;s side, Kansas sweeps the top five entry seeds for both 1-meter and 3-meter. The Jayhawk divers include\u00a0<strong>Amanda Maser, Graylyn Jones, Nadia Khechfe, Peri Charapich<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>TJ Duckett<\/strong><strong>. <\/strong>Don&#8217;t count out Texas sophomores<strong> Meghan O&#8217;Brien<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Sofia Rauzi<\/strong>, however, as the two return as last year&#8217;s silver and bronze medalists.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s side is highlighted by a slue of West Virginia men, led by freshman\u00a0<strong>Gerald Hodges<\/strong>. The 12 entries for both 1-meter and 3-meter, held between the three men&#8217;s schools, are split into chunks as West Virginia brings five men, Texas three, and TCU four.
