Charlotte Davis, 60, downed the women's 60-64 400 IM record with a 5:27.07. That swim far surpassed the previous mark of 5:44.39 set by Barbara Dunbar last year. Suzanne Dills, 65, also took down a women's 400 IM standard with a 6:01.14 in the 65-69 age division. She smashed the previous time of 6:15.25 set by Jackie Marr two weeks ago in Mission Viejo.<\/p>\n
Dennis Baker, 48, cut two seconds from his national mark in the men's 45-49 400 IM. Baker posted a 4:14.17 today, wiping out his 4:16.13 set in 2007. Jim Clemmons, 60, added his second record in as many days with a 4:45.65 in the men's 60-64 400 IM. That time downed the 4:46.68 set by Fred Schlicher in 2009. Richard Burns, 66, followed in the men's 65-69 400 IM with a 5:12.42. That performance eclipsed his previous mark of 5:13.89 turned in last year. <\/p>\n
Dills, 65, continued a strong session with her second national record of the day. Dills clocked a 2:24.66 in the women's 65-69 200 free. That time beat the 2:25.65 set by Ardeth Mueller in 2007. <\/p>\n
David Sims, 47, lowered the men's 45-49 200 free standard with a 1:41.69. The swim beat the 1:43.24 set by Keith Switzer last year. Jack Groselle, 55, then turned in a 1:50.29 to erase the men's 55-59 200 free record. Jim McConica owned the old mark with a 1:50.85 from 2006. Richard Abrahams, 65, joined the record-breaking party with a 1:57.54 in the men's 65-69 200 free. He cleared the 2:00.61 set by Keefe Lodwig last year. <\/p>\n
Laura Glass, 29, won the women's 25-29 50 breast in record time with a 29.11. That swim beat the 29.46 set by Laura Holt in 2008. Brigitte Heuer, 50, and Lisa Bennett, 54, both cleared the women's 50-54 50 breast record of 33.21 set by Melinda Mann in 2007. Heuer left with the record after winning, 32.37 to 32.83. Lo Knapp, 55, picked up the women's 55-59 50 breast record in 34.45. She cleared the 35.06 set by Ginger Pierson in 2002. <\/p>\n
Mark Gangloff, 27, tracked down the men's 25-29 50 breast national record with a 23.87. He far surpassed the 24.40 set by William Liscinsky in 2008. Steve West, 38, and Matthew Eisenhuth, 36, both beat Jeff Commings' national record in the men's 35-39 50 breast. West won in 25.35, while Eisenhuth took second in 25.60, both under Commings' 25.62. Holden Bank, 50, then turned in a 26.98 in the men's 50-54 50 breast. He beat the former record of 27.39 set by Jay McDonald in 2008. <\/p>\n
Dills returned for her third mark of the day with a 2:50.17 in the women's 65-69 200 back. That time cleared the 2:51.56 set by Betsy Jordan back in 2002. <\/p>\n
Chris Stevenson, 45, reeled in the men's 45-49 200 back national record with a 1:56.52. That effort clipped the previous mark of 1:56.55 set by Rip Esselstyn in 2008. Tom Barton, 54, did the remarkable \u2013 set an age division record at the top end of the age range. He clocked a 2:02.72 in the men's 50-54 200 back, lowering the 2:03.62 set by William Specht last year. Philipp Djang, 55, demolished the men's 55-59 200 back national record with a 2:05.90. The old record stood to Tod Spieker with a 2:07.54 in 2004. <\/p>\n
Tanica Jamison, 28, cleared 54 seconds to set the women's 25-29 100 fly national mark. She clocked a 53.72, lowering the 54.03 set by Limin Liu in 2001. <\/p>\n
Zsolt Gaspar, 33, pulled in a 47.77 for the men's 30-34 100 fly record. He beat the 48.25 set by Mike Picotte in 2004. Sims earned his second record of the day with a 50.90. That performance cleared the 51.37 set by Paul Smith in the men's 45-49 100 fly back in 2008. Abrahams also earned his second national record with a 56.36 in the men's 65-69 100 fly.
