She had a day off from racing Friday and took a few minutes to sit down with\u00a0<em>Swimming World<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Pickrem explained what she learned from her first year swimming at a meet like the NCAA championships and also what she took away from the Olympic Games in Rio where, representing Canada, she finished sixth in the 200 IM and 12th in the 400 IM.
