The sophomore dropped ten seconds from her seed time for her first American Athletic Conference title.<\/p>\n<p>East Carolina\u2019s <strong>Marion Abert <\/strong>finished a close second in 4:44.73 while Houston\u2019s <strong>Zarena Brown <\/strong>took third in 4:46.11.<\/p>\n<p>Southern Methodist\u2019s <strong>Jonathan Gomez <\/strong>won the men\u2019s 500 free by three seconds in 4:17.68. The junior broke the previous meet record set back in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Cincinatti\u2019s <strong>Din Selmanovic <\/strong>placed second in 4:20.44 while his teammate <strong>Christopher Bready <\/strong>took third in 4:21.38.<\/p>\n<p>Houston\u2019s <strong>Laura Laderoute <\/strong>won her first college championship title in the women\u2019s 200 IM.\u00a0The freshman took first in 2:00.02, nearly cracking the two-minute barrier.<\/p>\n<p>Cincinnati\u2019s <strong>Samantha Wheatley <\/strong>finished a close second in 2:00.42 while Tulane\u2019s <strong>Michelle Zelnick <\/strong>took third in 2:00.84.<\/p>\n<p>East Carolina\u2019s <strong>Fran Krznaric <\/strong>took the top spot in the men\u2019s 200 IM. The senior finished over two seconds ahead of the rest of the field, touching in 1:45.71.<\/p>\n<p>Connecticut\u2019s <strong>Matt Dagenais <\/strong>took silver in 1:47.78 and his teammate <strong>Will Kearsey <\/strong>took third in 1:48.47.<\/p>\n<p>Cincinnati\u2019s <strong>Jacqueline Keire <\/strong>won the women\u2019s 50 free in 22.19. Her time broke the meet record of 22.25 set back in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Southern Methodist\u2019s <strong>Hannah Rogers <\/strong>took second in 22.84 and her teammate <strong>Vicky Cunningham <\/strong>took third in 22.88.<\/p>\n<p>East Carolina\u2019s <strong>John Myhre <\/strong>won a close men\u2019s 50 free final, touching first in 20.11. The junior\u2019s time was an NCAA B standard.<\/p>\n<p>Connecticut\u2019s <strong>James Donlevy <\/strong>touched second in 20.22 and Southern Methodist\u2019s <strong>Ziga Cerkovnik <\/strong>placed third in 20.27.<\/p>\n<p>Souther Methodist&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Bryce Klein\u00a0<\/strong>added a win in the men&#8217;s 1m diving event after taking first in the 3m last night. The junior posted a score of 277.35, 67 points ahead of the runner-up.<\/p>\n<p>East Carolina&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zach Duvall\u00a0<\/strong>took second with 310.25 points and Connecticut&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Dan Kinney\u00a0<\/strong>dove to third with a score of 297.45.<\/p>\n<p>Cincinnati won&#8217;s the women&#8217;s 200 free relay only .08 ahead of second place. The team of\u00a0<strong>Lindsey Niehaus\u00a0<\/strong>(23.51),\u00a0<strong>Michaela Wheeler\u00a0<\/strong>(22.85),\u00a0<strong>Katie Gob\u00a0<\/strong>(23.05), and Keire (21.63) finished in 1:31.04.<\/p>\n<p>Southern Methodist took second in 1:31.12 and Houston finished third in 1:31.61.<\/p>\n<p>Southern Methodist&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ralph Koo\u00a0<\/strong>(20.19),\u00a0<strong>Nick Badsky\u00a0<\/strong>(20.01), Cerkovnik (19.65), and\u00a0<strong>Christian Scherubl\u00a0<\/strong>(20.31) won the men&#8217;s 200 free relay in 1:20.16.<\/p>\n<p>East Carolina finished second in 1:20.83 and Cincinnati finished third in 1:21.62.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/results\/2017-american-athletic-conference-day-2-finals-day-2\/ncaa-college\/2017\/February\/16\" target=\"_blank\">2017 American Athletic Conference Day 2 Finals &#8211; Results<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s Team Scores:<\/h2>\n<p>1.
