The championships began with a meet record in the men&#8217;s 200 medley relay. The George Washington team of\u00a0<strong>Gustav Hokfelt<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Andrea Bolognesi<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Emils Pone<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Alex Auster<\/strong> crushed the previous conference and meet records, set last year by the St. Bonaventure men, by nearly a second with a time of 1:27.53.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s 800 freestyle relay,\u00a0Davidson&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Elise Lankiewicz\u00a0<\/strong>led off in a time of 1:45.85. Her swim crushed her own meet, conference, and pool records from last year, which stood at 1:46.92.<\/p>\n<h1>Women&#8217;s 200 Medley Relay<\/h1>\n<p>The women&#8217;s 200 medley relay came down to the finish, but the Duquesne women got the win. The team of\u00a0<strong>Abby Watson<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Kayla Owens<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Kristen McKnight<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Shelly Heim<\/strong> combined for a time of 1:41.23 to out touch defending team champions, Richmond. Their team of\u00a0<strong>Hannah Gouger<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Morgan Soulia<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Hannah Matheson<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Virginia Marsh<\/strong> sawm to second in 1:41.84.<\/p>\n<p>Third place went to Davidson&#8217;s team of\u00a0<strong>Anabell Durham<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Katy Williams<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Olivia Stanley<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Erica Clancy<\/strong>. Their time was 1:42.32.<\/p>\n<h1>Men&#8217;s 200 Medley Relay<\/h1>\n<p>The George Washington men won the race by a second and a half. The St. Bonaventure men came in second. The team of\u00a0<strong>Matt Taccard<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Preston Schilling<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Michael White Jr.<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>David Shakhnazarov<\/strong> swam to a time of 1:29.12.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kellen Gray<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Al Madden<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Kyle Stefanides<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Ryan Pedrick<\/strong>, representing the University of Massachusetts came in third with a time of 1:29.32.<\/p>\n<h1>Women&#8217;s 800 Freestyle Relay<\/h1>\n<p>The Davidson women won the women&#8217;s 800 freestyle relay, led by Lankiewicz&#8217;s dominant lead off leg. She was joined by her teammates\u00a0<strong>Maggie Farrell<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Kassie Shannon<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Frances Resweber<\/strong> to swim a time of 7:18.31.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lexi Santer<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Lauren Devorace<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Carson Gross<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Sydnee Karam<\/strong> of Duquesne placed second in 7:19.43, just out touching the George Washington team of\u00a0<strong>Gemma Atherly<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Selin Ozturk<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Abbey Fusco<\/strong>,\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Emily Zhang<\/strong> who came in third at 7:19.46.<\/p>\n<h1>Men&#8217;s 800 Freestyle Relay<\/h1>\n<p>The St. Louis men won the 800 freestyle relay assertively. The team of\u00a0<strong>Ryan McCoy<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Grant Gamroth<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Isaiah Williams<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Nick Jessee<\/strong> came in first in a time of 6:32.42.<\/p>\n<p>La Salle&#8217;s team of\u00a0<strong>Aleksandar Nikolic<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jerry Gravel<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Fabian Bergman<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Marcus Forsgren<\/strong> finished second in 6:36.57. Third place went to St. Bonaventure&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nick Burdo<\/strong>, White Jr., Shakhnazarov, and\u00a0<strong>Jack Hughes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the first night of competition, the University of Massachusetts women lead the way with 119 points.
