Here is what happened on Day 2 of the SEC Championships during prelims.<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s 50 freestyle<\/h3>\n

Georgia\u2019s Olivia Smoliga<\/strong> took the top seed in the 50 freestyle finishing in 21.82, ahead of teammate Chantal Van Landeghem<\/strong> and Tennessee\u2019s Madeline Banic,<\/strong> who each finished in 22.00 to tie for the second seed.<\/p>\n

Alabama\u2019s Bailey Scott<\/strong> was fourth (22.21), followed by Tennessee\u2019s Kira Toussaint<\/strong> (22.24), Texas A&M\u2019s Beryl Gastaldello<\/strong> (22.32), LSU\u2019s Leah Troskot<\/strong> (22.39) and LSU\u2019s Haylee Knight<\/strong> (22.43).<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s 50 freestyle<\/h3>\n

After an astonishing 17.9 relay split in the 50 freestyle on Tuesday in the 200 IM, Florida\u2019s Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> followed that up with a swim of 18.51 in the 50 freestyle prelims.<\/p>\n

Texas A&M\u2019s Cory Bolleter<\/strong> was second (19.04), followed by Tennessee\u2019s Kyle Decoursey<\/strong> (19.21), Alabama\u2019s Zane Waddell<\/strong> (19.35), Missouri\u2019s Michael Chadwick<\/strong> (19.41), Auburn\u2019s Peter Holoda<\/strong> (19.50), and Florida\u2019s Enzo Martinez Scarpe<\/strong> and Auburn\u2019s Zach Apple<\/strong>, who tied for seventh at 19.59.<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s 500 freestyle<\/h3>\n

Texas A&M\u2019s Sarah Gibson<\/strong> took the top seed in the women\u2019s 500 freestyle, finishing ahead of Auburn\u2019s Ashley Neidigh<\/strong> (4:4136) and A&M teammate Sycerika McMahon<\/strong> (4:42.47).<\/p>\n

Rounding out the rest of the final spots were Missouri\u2019s Kira Zubar<\/strong> (4:43.00), Kentucy\u2019s Kendal Casey<\/strong> (4:43.05), Kentucky\u2019s Geena Freriks<\/strong> (4:43.47), Georgia\u2019s Rachel Zilinskas<\/strong> (4:43.72) and Arkansas\u2019 Ayumi Macias<\/strong> (4:43.89).<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s 200 IM<\/h3>\n

In the 200 IM, Tennessee\u2019s Meghan Small<\/strong> took the top seed in 1:54.86, finishing ahead of a quartet of Aggies \u2014\u00a0Sydney Pickrem<\/strong> (1:55.23), Lisa Bratton<\/strong> (1:56.23), Monika Gonzalez-Hermosillo<\/strong> (1:56.60) and Bethany Gala<\/strong>t (1:56.69).<\/p>\n

Kentucky\u2019s Asia Seidt<\/strong> followed in sixth (1:56.70), ahead of South Carolina\u2019s Emma Barksdale<\/strong> (1:56.84) and Georgia\u2019s Meaghan Raab<\/strong> (1:57.37).<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s 500 freestyle<\/h3>\n

In the men\u2019s 500 freestyle, Florida\u2019s Mitch D\u2019Arrigo<\/strong> took the top seed in 4:12.43, followed by the South Carolina duo of Fynn Minuth<\/strong> (4:12.94) and Akaram Mahmoud<\/strong> (4:14.34).<\/p>\n

Rounding out the rest of the finals field the Georgia duo of Walker Higgins (<\/strong>4:14.43) and Jay Litherland<\/strong> (4:17.23), in fourth and fifth, respectively. Florida\u2019s Ben Lawless<\/strong> followed in 4:17.28, then Georgia\u2019s Kevin Litherland<\/strong> (4:18.16) and Kentucky\u2019s Isaac Jones<\/strong> (4:18.59) \u2014\u00a0leaving Florida\u2019s Maxime Rooney<\/strong> in ninth (4:18.66).<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s 200 IM<\/h3>\n

In the 200 IM, Georgia\u2019s Chase Kalisz<\/strong> took the top seed in 1:42.84, followed by Florida\u2019s Mark Szaranek<\/strong> (1:43.00), Auburn\u2019s Joe Patching<\/strong> (1:43.32) and Georgia\u2019s Gunnar Bentz<\/strong> (1:44.24).<\/p>\n

Rounding out the bottom half of the finals are Florida\u2019s Jan Switkowski<\/strong> (1:44.24), Alabama\u2019s Ashton McKee<\/strong> (1:44.47), Auburn\u2019s Michael<\/strong> Duderstadt<\/strong> (1:44.80) and Florida\u2019s Alex Lebed<\/strong> (1:44.86).<\/p>\n
