{"id":241086,"date":"2017-02-15T08:58:14","date_gmt":"2017-02-15T15:58:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=241086"},"modified":"2017-02-15T08:58:14","modified_gmt":"2017-02-15T15:58:14","slug":"australian-olympian-grant-hackett-arrested-at-parents-home-released-without-charges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/australian-olympian-grant-hackett-arrested-at-parents-home-released-without-charges\/","title":{"rendered":"Australian Olympian Grant Hackett Arrested at Parent&#8217;s Home, Released Without Charges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reports Coming from the<em> Sydney Morning Herald<\/em> state that police were called to the home of <strong>Grant Hackett\u2019s<\/strong> parents following a disturbance.\u00a0 The 36-year-old Olympic swimmer was reported to be agitated and verbally aggressive.<\/p>\n<p>Other outlets reported that Hackett was \u201cgoing off\u201d and stabbing a chopping block.<\/p>\n<p>He was led away in handcuffs, but later released without charges.<\/p>\n<p>Following Hackett&#8217;s release, his brother, <strong>Craig Hackett<\/strong>, told the media that Grant Hackett was not his usual self.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The whole family have done everything that we can but now it&#8217;s kind of out of our hands, it really is,&#8221; Craig Hackett expressed. &#8220;This is not Grant Hackett. This is a completely different person. I don&#8217;t know this person, my mum and dad don&#8217;t know this person.
