St. Mary\u2019s Academy took second (1:49.00), while Glenwood Springs claimed third (1:52.18).<\/p>\n<p>Brown was the champion in the 100 backstroke with a time of 57.37. She also finished the 200 IM in second place with a 2:07.56.<\/p>\n<p>Quist went on to be a two time individual champion. She won the 50 free in a 23.50. La Junta\u2019s <strong>Savannah Tice<\/strong> posted a 24.45, while <strong>Rylee Daniels<\/strong> of Eaton touched the wall in 24.55. Quist also won the 100 free finishing in 50.33. Again Tice followed her in (52.34), and <strong>Aly Gallagher<\/strong> of Colorado Academy rounded out the top three (53.47).<\/p>\n<p>St. Mary\u2019s Academy took first and third in the 200 freestyle when <strong>Alex Reddington<\/strong> stopped the clock in a 1:48.60, the only girl under the 1:50-mark. Teammate <strong>Lillianna Brooks<\/strong> went a 1:55.99 for third. D\u2019Evelyn\u2019s <strong>Abbey Selin<\/strong> swam a 1:52.18 to take second.<\/p>\n<p>Brooks also notched a second place swim in the 100 backstroke going a 58.95. <strong>Megan Wilkins<\/strong> of Conifer followed her to the wall in a 59.14.<\/p>\n<p>Later in the meet, Selin went on to take the 500 freestyle, controlling the race and winning by over 9 seconds (5:01.15). <strong>Lucille Matheson<\/strong> of Longmont finished with a 5:10.76. St. Mary\u2019s Academy was there again, taking third when freshman <strong>Sydney Silver<\/strong> completed the race in 5:13.01.<\/p>\n<p>The team was also dominant in the 400 freestyle relay topping the field by over five seconds in with a 3:41.79 (Brooks, <strong>Isa Faddick<\/strong>, Silver, Reddington). Aspen finished in a 3:46.81 good enough for second place, while D\u2019Evelyn finished in a 3:47.39 for third.<\/p>\n<p>Reddington received her second win of the night in the 100 butterfly going over three-seconds faster than the competition in a 54.09. <strong>Caitlin Cairns<\/strong> of St. Mary\u2019s took second (57.40).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lauren Fetzko<\/strong> was victorious in the 200 IM when she dropped over seven seconds from prelims to put up a 2:05.84. Matheson raced to take third in a 2:08.40.\u00a0Fetzko also swam in the 100 butterfly where she placed third (57.61).<\/p>\n<p>The 200 freestyle relay went to Pueblo County\u2019s <strong>Anna Maurello, Amanda Blickensderfer, Julianna Krinsky, and Alexa Musso<\/strong> (1:41.06). D\u2019Evelyn (1:42.46) and Manitou Springs (1:43.04) finished in second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Blickensderfer\u2019s 1:05.26 edged out Manitou Springs\u2019 <strong>Emily Dolloff-Holt\u2019s<\/strong> 1:05.89 to win the 100 breakstroke.<strong> Emily Moreland<\/strong> of La Junta capped out the top three in a 1:08.43.<\/p>\n<p>In the 1-meter diving event, Pueblo Central\u2019s <strong>Kaylee Eakman<\/strong> (441.30) was victorious when she scored over 50 points more than <strong>Retta Smith<\/strong> of St. Mary\u2019s (389.50). Kent Denver\u2019s <strong>Campbell Patteson<\/strong>, a freshman, finished with 372.60 points.<\/p>\n<p>Aspen claimed their first ever 3A State title with\u00a0209 points. St. Mary&#8217;s Academy took second place with 187 points. Valor Christian and Heritage swam in for second (1:45.03) and third (1:45.25), respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The Cheyenne Mountain team went on to take the 200 freestyle relay in a 1:38.50 (Bricker<strong>, Mikaila Duncan, Maggie York<\/strong>, and Wright). Heritage swam a 1:39.43 and Rampart finished directly behind them in 1:39.46.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lainee Jones<\/strong> of Pueblo South took the 200 freestyle in a 1:50.58. Tibbitt followed her for second (1:52.51) and <strong>Kate McDonald<\/strong> of Evergreen swam in for third (1:53.43).<\/p>\n<p>Jones went on to take second in the 100 freestyle finishing in a 51.12. <strong>Kylie Andrews<\/strong> of Heritage won the event stopping the clock in a 50.59. Fort Collins\u2019s <strong>Audrey Reimer<\/strong> took third (51.95).<\/p>\n<p>Andrews notched a first place victory in the 100 backstroke; topping the field in a 55.67. Reimer claimed second with a 55.74, while <strong>Erin Lang<\/strong> of Loveland took third in a 57.11.<\/p>\n<p>Lang also slid under the five-minute mark in the 500 free with a 4:59.26. McDonald claimed second place in a 5:04.11.<\/p>\n<p>The 200 IM went to Windsor\u2019s <strong>Morgan Friesen<\/strong> with a 2:06.55. <strong>Ella Kirschke<\/strong> of Valor Christian came in right behind her in a 2:06.92. <strong>Catriona Clarke<\/strong> of Rampart touched for third in a 2:09.30.<\/p>\n<p>Friesen took her second gold of the night in the 100 breaskstroke in a 1:03.72. Air Academy\u2019s <strong>Aleks Olesiak<\/strong> and Heritage\u2019s <strong>Emma Spotts<\/strong> finished in a 1:03.99 and 1:04.28, respectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Madison Hoehn<\/strong> secured a second place finish for Valor Christian in the 100 butterfly when she went a 56.52. Teammate <strong>Abbey Owenby<\/strong> grabbed third in the 500 freestyle in a 5:07.11.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Izzi Mroz<\/strong> kept the ball rolling for Valor Christian when she won the 1-meter diving event scoring 484.65 points. <strong>Kyriana Chambo<\/strong> of Highlands Ranch took second with 450.80 points. Niwot\u2019s <strong>Madison Barkow<\/strong> recorded 448.35 points, good enough for third place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lindsay Stenstrom<\/strong> of Valor Christian was the only girl under the 24-second mark going a 23.98. Wright finished with a 24.07, while Rampart\u2019s <strong>Allana Clarke<\/strong> raced for a 24.39.\u00a0Clarke also took third in the 100 fly with a 57.19.<\/p>\n<p>Wright got gold on her second individual event of the night in the 100 butterfly. She broke her own 4A record of 55.49 by going a 55.45.<\/p>\n<p>Valor Christian closed out the meet with a victory in the 400 freestyle relay when the team of Stenstrom, Kirschke, Hoehn, and Owenby touched first going 3:31.14. Heritage took second with a 3:33.47, while Evergreen swam in for third (3:33.47).<\/p>\n<p>Cheyenne Mountain took home the class 4A state title.
