After a disappointing 15th-place finish at last year&#8217;s NCAA championships, the Longhorns have lost only one dual meet this season despite an incredibly tough schedule. They have risen as high as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/texas-women-vault-to-no-1-in-cscaa-d-i-poll-cal-men-remain-on-top\/\">No. 1 in the CSCAA Division I coaches&#8217; poll<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To recap what has gone so well for Texas this season and to preview the upcoming Big-12 championships, head coach\u00a0<strong>Carol Capitani<\/strong> called into this week&#8217;s episode of\u00a0<em>Off Deck<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In a conversation with host\u00a0<strong>David Rieder<\/strong>, Capitani discussed what her team took away from last year&#8217;s disappointing NCAA performance and what it was like to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/sec-weekly-recap-texas-snaps-georgias-home-win-streak-at-103\/\" target=\"_blank\">beat Georgia and end the Bulldogs&#8217; 103-meet home winning streak<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Capitani also reflected on what her current eight-person senior class that includes <strong>Madisyn Cox\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Tasija Karosas<\/strong>\u00a0has meant to the program.
