The event schedule is out for this summer’s FINA Junior World Championships, scheduled to be held\u00a0at the IUPUI Natatorium Aug. 23-28.<\/p>\n

Like the recent Short Course World Championships in Windsor, the meet will follow a six-day event schedule with semi-finals of the 50s and 100s. This is different than the long course World Championships and Olympics, which also involve semi-finals of 200-meter events over an eight-day program.<\/p>\n

800 and 1500-meter events will be contested as timed finals, and both women and men will swim both distances. The full schedule is available to view here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

USA Swimming will host the Junior World Championships for the first time and will be selecting its team at U.S. Nationals in the same Indianapolis pool two months earlier. Qualifying procedures are available here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
