INDIAN River State College likely salted away its 36th and 29th NJCAA men&#39;s and women&#39;s titles after a strong third day at the NJCAA championships held in Fort Pierce.<\/p>\n<p>The women&#39;s team nearly doubled up Daytona State, 714-363, for the lead in the women&#39;s team title race after day three. Darton (325), Monroe (203) and Lincoln (143) comprised the rest of the top five.<\/p>\n<p>The IRSC men pushed their leading tally to 622 points. Daytona stood a distant second with 474 points, while Lincoln sat third with 380 points. Darton (261) and Monroe (198) were the other top five teams after day three.<\/p>\n<p>Indian River&#39;s team of Tina McIntyre, Mary Frank, Jennifer Marquez and Charlotte Graham leadoff the night with the first NJCAA record of the meet. The foursome clocked a 1:43.46 in the women&#39;s 200 medley relay to smack the previous record of 1:45.27 set in 2008. Meanwhile, IRSC&#39;s quartet of Harry Traystman, Chandler Gerlach, Donaven Van Der Merwe and Kelley Wyman took home the men&#39;s 200 medley relay title in 1:28.96.<\/p>\n<p>IRSC&#39;s Amanda Lukovic cruised to victory in the women&#39;s 400 IM with a 4:45.25, while Monroe&#39;s Meghan Rickelman placed second in 4:47.42. Darton&#39;s Trisha Bailey wound up third in 4:52.98. Monroe&#39;s Kevin Burns topped the men&#39;s 400 IM in 4:05.34, while Daytona&#39;s Patrick O&#39;Malley finished second in 4:05.44. Teammate Kory Sprignoli took third in 4:07.91. <\/p>\n<p>IRSC dominated the women&#39;s 100 fly. Jessica Chandlee claimed the title in 56.93, while Marquez (57.00) and Magwye Herring (57.98) placed second and third. Daytona&#39;s Raymond DePadua snatched the men&#39;s 100 fly crown in 50.10, while IRSC&#39;s Anthony Alberts (50.50) and Nick Hein (50.62) made up the rest of the top three.<\/p>\n<p>IRSC went 1-2 in the women&#39;s 200 free with Vanessa Hanbury leading the way in 1:50.38. Teammate Rebecca Harrison claimed second in 1:52.34, while Daytona&#39;s Megan Wolfe finished third in 1:55.15. IRSC&#39;s Mateo De Angulo garnered the men&#39;s 200 free title in 1:37.72, while Lincoln&#39;s Daniel Corley (1:39.45) and Daytona&#39;s Will Collum (1:42.00) completed the podium. <\/p>\n<p>IRSC&#39;s Frank grabbed the women&#39;s 100 breast win in 1:03.61 with Daytona&#39;s Kimberly Collymore taking second in 1:05.11. IRSC&#39;s Katie Kittrell earned third in 1:06.03. Wyman captured the men&#39;s 100 breast in 54.18 with Van Der Merwe finishing second in 54.63. Teammate Chandler Gerlach took third in 56.03. <\/p>\n<p>McIntyre walked away with the women&#39;s 100 back title in 56.49, while IRSC&#39;s Monika Mialka (56.86) and IRSC&#39;s Stephanie Doran (57.77) finished second and third. Lincoln&#39;s Bryce Bohman touched first in the men&#39;s 100 back with a 50.95.
