EVANSTON, Illinois, February 16. STANFORD University and the University of Georgia women's swimming and diving teams wrapped up the 2010 dual meet season atop the CSCAA\/CollegeSwimming.com Division I Poll. The two teams tied for the top spot with 734 points.<\/p>\n
The undefeated Cardinal moved up from fourth place following a month that saw them earn wins over a trio of top ten teams. Georgia continued to see its first-place votes erode with each successive poll, but retained just enough to finish in a dead heat with Stanford. <\/p>\n
Texas received eight first-place votes to rank third. The Longhorns dealt Georgia its only loss, but suffered a setback of their own falling 201-152 to fourth-ranked Arizona. Despite the win, the Wildcats dropped two spots to finish the poll in fourth.<\/p>\n
Fifteen teams changed position in the latest poll. Ohio State made the biggest jump. The Buckeyes upset 17th-ranked Michigan to jump into the top twenty-five for the first time this season. In all fifty teams earned votes in the final poll which measures teams' relative dual-meet strength.<\/p>\n
