Men’s 4×50 Freestyle Relay:<\/h3>\n

It was close to anyone’s race as the anchors for the men’s 200 free relay dove in, but a strong anchor leg from\u00a0Vladimir Morozov<\/strong> powered the Russian Federation to victory. The group of\u00a0Aleksei Brianskii\u00a0<\/strong>(21.70),\u00a0Nikita Lobintsev<\/strong> (21.06),\u00a0Aleksandr Popkov<\/strong> (20.85), and\u00a0Morozov (20.71) posted a combined time of 1:24.32 for the gold.<\/p>\n

The USA took a close silver with a combined time of 1:24.47. The relay team consisted of\u00a0Paul Powers<\/strong> (21.73),\u00a0Blake Pieroni\u00a0<\/strong>(21.14),\u00a0Michael Chadwick<\/strong> (21.02), and\u00a0Tom Shields<\/strong> (20.58).<\/p>\n

Japan’s\u00a0Kosuke Matsui\u00a0<\/strong>(21.81),\u00a0Kenta Ito<\/strong> (20.96),\u00a0Shinri Shioura<\/strong> (20.60), and\u00a0Junya Koga<\/strong> (21.14) finished third overall with a time of 1:24.51.<\/p>\n

France picked up a fourth place finish with a time of 1:24.69, followed by the Netherlands’ 1:25.22.<\/p>\n
