Forde led by 3\/4 of the pool by the time she turned from the breaststroke to freestyle leg, ending the race with a time of 4:02.51. That time stands as a new Junior Nationals Championship record.<\/p>\n<p>Carmel Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Samantha Burchill\u00a0<\/strong>picked up second with a time of 4:11.16, just ahead of teammate\u00a0<strong>Kelly Pash\u00a0<\/strong>and her third place finish of 4:11.66.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Madison Homovich\u00a0<\/strong>of Marlins of Raleigh slipped to fourth with a final time of 4:11.84, while SwimMAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Julia Menkhaus<\/strong> took home fifth with a 4:12.66.<\/p>\n<p>Nashville Aquatic Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ella Nelson<\/strong> (4:12.91), Tampa Bay&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christin Rockway\u00a0<\/strong>(4:14.08), and Marlins of Raleigh&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kathleen Moore<\/strong> (4:16.32) finished sixth through eighth respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 400 IM:<\/h3>\n<p>Penn Charter&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Reece Whitley<\/strong> held off the competition in finals of the men&#8217;s 400 individual medley. Whitley, best known for his breaststroke abilities, posted a first place finish of 3:47.15 to earn the gold.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carson Foster<\/strong> of the Mason Manta Rays moved up from a sixth place seed to claim silver in the event with a final time of 3:48.09. Foster improved upon his prelims time of 3:51.94 by 3.85 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Ridgefield Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Kieran Smith\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed the bronze medal with a time of 3:49.19, followed closely by Red Bank YMCA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christopher Smith&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>3:49.27.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Talmadge Davis\u00a0<\/strong>of Team Greenville finished fifth overall with a 3:49.91, while Gulliver Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Miguel Cancel<\/strong> picked up a sixth place finish of 3:51.68.<\/p>\n<p>Dynamo&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jeffrey Durmer\u00a0<\/strong>and Blue Dolfins&#8217;\u00a0<strong>John Fulginiti\u00a0<\/strong>were seventh and eighth respectively with times of 3:51.94 and 3:54.47.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Isabel Ivey<\/strong> of Gator Swim Club grabbed a narrow victory over\u00a0<strong>Olivia Carter<\/strong> in the final of the women&#8217;s 100 fly. Ivey stopped the clock a slim .04 seconds ahead of Carter with a final time of 52.61. Carter finished second with a time of 52.65.<\/p>\n<p>Pine Crest&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jessica Nava\u00a0<\/strong>finished third with a time of 52.91 to earn the bronze medal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tristen Ulett<\/strong> of Dynamo Swim Club took fourth with a 53.14, followed by Gator Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Talia Bates<\/strong> and her time of 53.37.<\/p>\n<p>Carmel&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gertrude Rothrock\u00a0<\/strong>(53.74), Blue Ash YMCA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Megan Glass<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Alessandra\u00a0<\/strong><b>Balder\u00a0<\/b>(54.38) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Camden Murphy<\/strong> of Kingfish Aquatics blasted to the top of the podium in finals of the men&#8217;s 100 fly. Murphy, originally seeded fourth after prelims, posted a final time of 46.84 to finish just ahead of top seed\u00a0<strong>Noah Lense<\/strong> of Ohio State. Lense grabbed second with a time of 46.91.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nicolas Albiero<\/strong> of Cardinal Aquatics picked up the bronze medal with a final time of 47.15, while fourth went to Bolles&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Ariel Spektor\u00a0<\/strong>and his time of 47.39.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan Lakeshore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Spencer Carl\u00a0<\/strong>was fifth overall with a 47.61, followed by Bolles&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Willie Davis&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong>47.85.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Corey Gambardella\u00a0<\/strong>of Soundview YMCA and\u00a0<strong>Cody Bybee<\/strong> of the Dayton Raiders tied for seventh with matching times of 48.58.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>After a short break\u00a0<strong>Isabel Ivey<\/strong> of Gator Swim Club returned to the pool and earned her second gold medal of the day. Ivey stopped the clock at a 1:43.64 to finish a decisive first.<\/p>\n<p>Greater Tampa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Morgan Tankersley\u00a0<\/strong>earned the silver medal with a time of 1:44.39, while Lakeside&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brooke Forde<\/strong> added a bronze medal to her collection with a final time of 1:45.68.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emma Nordin\u00a0<\/strong>of Carmel took fourth overall with a time of 1:46.47, followed closely by teammate\u00a0<strong>Kelly Pash&#8217;s<\/strong> 1:46.67.<\/p>\n<p>Excel&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Riley Gaines<\/strong> (1:47.29), SwimAtlanta&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emma Alexander<\/strong> (1:47.61), and Mason Manta Rays&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Hannah Foster<\/strong> completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>Carmel&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Drew Kibler<\/strong> and SwimMAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>John Walker\u00a0<\/strong>held a tight race throughout the eight lengths of the men&#8217;s 200 free, finishing 1-2 with a slim .33 seconds separating their final times. Kibler blasted up from his eighth place seed to finish first with a time of 1:33.40, while Walker posted a second place finish of 1:33.73.<\/p>\n<p>Countryside YMCA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Grant House<\/strong> picked up the bronze medal with a time of 1:35.27, followed by Michigan Lakeshore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Spencer Carl&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>1:36.31.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parker Neri<\/strong> of Upper Arlington grabbed fifth overall with a time of 1:36.46, just ahead of Upper Dublin&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jake Sannem<\/strong> and his time of 1:37.02.<\/p>\n<p>Dayton Raiders&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Cody Bybee\u00a0<\/strong>and Cincinnati Marlin&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Justin Grender<\/strong> finished seventh and eighth with times of 1:37.34 and 1:38.59
