Taking the second spot was Marlins of Raleigh&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Madison Homovich<\/strong> in 4:12.78.\u00a0<strong>Samantha Burchill\u00a0<\/strong>of Carmel Swim Club took third place in 4:13.54.<\/p>\n<p>With a time of 4:14.17, Nashville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ella Nelson<\/strong> placed fourth.\u00a0<strong>Kathleen Moore\u00a0<\/strong>of Marlins of Raleigh and\u00a0<strong>Kelly Pash<\/strong> from Carmel tied for fifth place in 4:14.36.<\/p>\n<p>Tampa Bay&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christin Rockway<\/strong> took seventh in 4:15.19, and SwimMAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Julia Menkhaus<\/strong> rounded out the top eight in 4:15.22.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 400 IM:<\/h3>\n<p>Dropping over five seconds from his entry time, Penn Charter&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Reece Whitley<\/strong> finished first this morning with a time of 3:48.93. Whitley was two seconds ahead of Ridgefield&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kieran Smith<\/strong>, who took second in 3:50.72.<\/p>\n<p>Third place went to\u00a0<strong>John Fulginiti<\/strong> of Blue Dolfins in 3:51.21, just ahead of Team Greenville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Talmadge Davis<\/strong> who touched in 3:51.22 for fourth.\u00a0<strong>Christopher Smith<\/strong> of Red Bank YMCA was fifth in 3:51.66.<\/p>\n<p>Mason Manta Rays&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Carson Foster<\/strong> finished sixth in 3:51.94.\u00a0<strong>Miguel Cancel<\/strong> of Gulliver was seventh in 3:52.20. Dynamo&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jeffery Durmer<\/strong> took the eighth spot in tonight&#8217;s final with a time of 3:52.24.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Olivia Carter<\/strong> led this mornings heats of the women&#8217;s 100 butterfly with a time of 52.74, two seconds faster than her seed time.\u00a0<strong>Isabel Ivey<\/strong> of Gator Swim Club finished second in 53.52. 14 year old\u00a0<strong>Tristen Ulett<\/strong> of Dynamo was third in 53.75.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alessandra Baldari<\/strong> and Gator&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Talia Bates<\/strong> both swam a time of 54.00, tying for fourth place. Pine Crest&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jessica Nava\u00a0<\/strong>was sixth in 54.11.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gertrude Rothrock<\/strong> of Carmel and\u00a0<strong>Megan Glass<\/strong> of Blue Ash YMCA tied for seventh in 54.25.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p>Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Noah Lense<\/strong> took this morning&#8217;s top spot with a time of 47.38. Behind him for second place was Cardinal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicolas Albiero<\/strong> in 47.67. Bolles&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Ariel Spektor<\/strong>\u00a0finished third in 47.75.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Camden Murphy\u00a0<\/strong>of Kingfish was fourth in 47.97, with Bolles&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Willie Davis<\/strong> just behind him in 48.00 for fourth. Sixth place went to\u00a0<strong>Spencer Carl\u00a0<\/strong>of Michigan Lakeshore in 48.14.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Corey Gambardella\u00a0<\/strong>of Soundview YMCA placed seventh in 48.16. Dayton Raiders&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Cody Bybee<\/strong> finished eighth in 48.31.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>After taking second in the 100 fly, Gator&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Isabel Ivey\u00a0<\/strong>rebounded to take first in the morning heats of the 200 free with a time of 1:45.73. Second behind her is tonight&#8217;s top seed in the 400 IM,\u00a0<strong>Brooke Forde<\/strong> of Lakeside, who touched in 1:46.13.<\/p>\n<p>Third place went to Greater Tampa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Morgan Tankersley<\/strong> with a time of 1:46.51.\u00a0<strong>Emma Nordin\u00a0<\/strong>of Carmel finished fourth in 1:46.64. Her teammate,\u00a0<strong>Kelly Pash<\/strong>, took fifth in 1:47.29.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hannah Foster<\/strong> of Mason Manta Rays was sixth in 1:47.68. Excel&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Riley Gaines<\/strong> touched seventh in 1:48.16, just ahead of Swim Atlanta&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emma Alexander<\/strong>, who finished eighth in 1:48.18.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>SwimMac&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>John Walker\u00a0<\/strong>took the top spot of the morning in 1:35.94. Behind him was Countryside YMCA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Grant House<\/strong>, who touched 1:36.27 for second place.\u00a0<strong>Spencer Carl\u00a0<\/strong>of Michigan Lakeshore was third in 1:36.50.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cody Bybee<\/strong> of Dayton Raiders finished fourth in 1:36.74. Upper Dublin&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jake Sannem<\/strong> was fifth in 1:37.06, while Upper Arlington&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Parker Neri<\/strong> touched sixth in 1:37.19.<\/p>\n<p>Cincinnati Marlins&#8217; <strong>Justin Grender\u00a0<\/strong>took seventh in 1:37.38, just ahead of Carmel&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Drew Kibler<\/strong> for eighth in 1:37.41.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Breast:<\/h3>\n<p>15 year old\u00a0<strong>Alexandra Walsh<\/strong> of Nashville finished first, breaking the minute barrier for the first time in 59.77. Her teammate\u00a0<strong>Allison Raab<\/strong> took second in 1:00.87.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hanna Gresser<\/strong> of Firestone Akron touched third in 1:01.09. SwimMAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caroline Hauder<\/strong> was fourth in 1:01.30, just out-touching\u00a0<strong>Abigail Arens\u00a0<\/strong>from Marlins of Raleigh in 1:01.31 for fifth.<\/p>\n<p>Sixth place went to\u00a0<strong>Sophie Angus<\/strong> of Weston in 1:01.37. Cardinal Community&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Weiss\u00a0<\/strong>was seventh in 1:01.38, and\u00a0<strong>Jacqueline Clabeaux\u00a0<\/strong>of York was eighth in 1:01.39.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Breast:<\/h3>\n<p>In his second event of the morning,\u00a0Penn Charter&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Reece Whitley<\/strong> took the top seed yet again in a time of 53.48. Finishing second to him was Bolles&#8217;\u00a0<strong>James Daugherty<\/strong> in 54.45.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keefer Barnum<\/strong> of Lakeside and\u00a0<strong>Jason Mathews<\/strong> of Ohio State Swim Club tied for third in 54.82. SwimMAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>William Chan<\/strong> touched fifth in 55.00.<\/p>\n<p>Sixth place went to Delaware&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Matthew Otto<\/strong> in 55.09.\u00a0<strong>Jacob Foster<\/strong> of Mason Manta Rays finished seventh in 55.19, and\u00a0Excel&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Eric Tong<\/strong> rounded out the top eight in 55.42.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Back:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Julia Menkhaus<\/strong> of SwimMAC posted the fastest time of the morning in the women&#8217;s 100 backstroke, turning in the only sub-53 second swim. Menkhaus stopped the clock at a 52.89 to return as the top seed in tonight&#8217;s final.<\/p>\n<p>Nashville Aquatic Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alex Walsh\u00a0<\/strong>picked up the second place seed with a 53.17, while SwimAtlanta&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Madeline Cohen\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed the third place seed with a 53.60.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marcella Maguire<\/strong> turned in a 53.91 for the fourth place seed, just ahead of\u00a0<strong>Olivia Carter<\/strong>, swimming unattached, and her time of 53.94.<\/p>\n<p>SwimMAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Stephanie Nelson<\/strong> (54.24), Greensboro&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Heather\u00a0<\/strong><b>Sigmon<\/b> (54.48), and SwimMAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sinclair Larson\u00a0<\/strong>(54.57) qualified sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Back:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Zachary Poti<\/strong>, swimming unattached, turned in the top time of the morning in the men&#8217;s 100 backstroke with a time of 47.67.<\/p>\n<p>Cardinals&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Nicolas Albiero\u00a0<\/strong>finished second overall in prelims with a 48.22, while\u00a0<strong>Clark Beach\u00a0<\/strong>was third with a 48.34.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drew Kibler<\/strong> claimed the fourth place seed with a 48.64, followed by a 48.67 showing from <strong>Destin Lasco<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alexander McMurry\u00a0<\/strong>(48.81), <strong>Alessandro Boratto<\/strong> (48.89), and\u00a0<strong>Justin Grender<\/strong> (49.02)\u00a0return as the sixth through eighth place seeds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Everything you need to follow along live with day three prelims of the 2016 Speedo Winter Jr Championships East.
