the latest coverage.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 500 Free:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Morgan Tankersley<\/strong> of Greater Tampa topped the preliminary field of the women&#8217;s 500 free with a time of 4:42.39.<\/p>\n<p>Marlins of Raleigh&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Madison Homovich<\/strong> took second overall with a 4:43.66, followed by Tennessee Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Erica Laning<\/strong> and her time of 4:44.53.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lindsay Stone<\/strong> of PACK grabbed the fourth place seed with a 4:46.46, just ahead of Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Molly Kowal&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>4:46.82.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ana Pozder <\/strong>of Tac Titans\u00a0finished sixth in prelims with a 4:48.24, while Tampa Bay&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christin Rockway\u00a0<\/strong>was seventh with a 4:48.64.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Madelyn Donohoe<\/strong>\u00a0of The Fish rounded out the top eight qualifiers with a 4:49.19.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 500 Free:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Robert Freeman\u00a0<\/strong>of Baylor Swim Club turned in the top time in the men&#8217;s 500 free prelims, stopping the clock at a qualifying time of 4:18.03.<\/p>\n<p>Carmel Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Drew Kibler<\/strong> finished second overall in prelims with a time of 4:20.52, while\u00a0<strong>Christopher Smith\u00a0<\/strong>of Red Bank YMCA picked up third with a 4:21.45.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Johannes Calloni\u00a0<\/strong>of Scarlet Aquatics turned in a time of 4:22.41 to grab the fourth place seed, just ahead of\u00a0<strong>Jake Sannem<\/strong> of Upper Dublin Aquatics (4:23.77).<\/p>\n<p>Ridgefield&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kieran Smith<\/strong> (4:24.15), Charter Oak&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Joshua Wroblewski<\/strong> (4:24.21), and Cincinnati Marlins&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Justin Grender<\/strong> (4:24.58) completed the top eight qualifiers.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 IM:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Brooke Forde<\/strong> of Lakeside Swim Team turned in a top showing in the women&#8217;s 200 IM prelims with a top showing of 1:57.16.<\/p>\n<p>Nashville Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Alex Walsh\u00a0<\/strong>picked up the second place seed with a 1:58.14, followed by SwimMAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caroline Hauder<\/strong> and her time of 1:58.64.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Isabel Ivey\u00a0<\/strong>of Gator Swim Club turned in a 1:58.87 to return as the fourth place seed, while Nashville Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Allison Raab<\/strong> posted a 1:59.31 for fifth.<\/p>\n<p>Westchester Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Kate Douglass<\/strong> grabbed the sixth place seed with a 1:59.32, just ahead of\u00a0<strong>Julia Poole\u00a0<\/strong>of the Marlins of Raleigh and her time of 1:59.56.<\/p>\n<p>Carmel Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Samantha Burchill<\/strong> completed the top eight qualifiers with a time of 1:59.66.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 IM:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Reece Whitley\u00a0<\/strong>of Penn Charter grabbed the top seed in prelims of the men&#8217;s 200 IM with a time of 1:47.52, slicing .03 seconds off his entry time of 1:47.55.<\/p>\n<p>Cardinal Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Nicolas Albiero\u00a0<\/strong>turned in a qualifying time of 1:47.90 for the second place seed, just ahead of Bolles School&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ariel Spektor<\/strong> and his time of 1:47.97.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Connor Doyle<\/strong> of Eastern Express picked up the fourth place seed with a time of 1:48.41, while\u00a0<strong>Carson Foster<\/strong> of the Mason Manta Rays took fifth with a 1:48.49.<\/p>\n<p>Blue Dolfins&#8217;\u00a0<strong>John Fulginiti<\/strong> (1:48.70), Gulliver&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Miguel Cancel\u00a0<\/strong>(1:48.95), and Mason Manta Rays&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Jacob Foster<\/strong> (1:48.96) rounded out the top eight qualifiers.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Free:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Kate Douglass<\/strong> of Westchester Aquatics dashed to a top showing of 22.43 in prelims of the women&#8217;s 50 free, adding slightly to her entry time of 22.21. Douglass, the NAG record holder for this event in the 13-14 age group, recently aged up to the 15-16 category where the NAG record sits at a 22.04.<\/p>\n<p>Greater Tampa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Morgan Tankersley<\/strong> posted a second place qualifying time of 22.60, followed closely by Gator Swim Clubs&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Isabel Ivey\u00a0<\/strong>and her time of 22.61.<\/p>\n<p>Ivey&#8217;s teammate\u00a0<strong>Talia Bates<\/strong> turne din a 22.81 to snag the fourth place seed, followed by Marlins of Raleigh&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Grace Countie&#8217;s<\/strong> 22.84.<\/p>\n<p>Southwest Stars&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Kaitlyn Schorr<\/strong> (22.90), Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Miranda Donley<\/strong> (22.93), and Nashville Aquatic Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alex Walsh\u00a0<\/strong>(22.96) return as sixth through eighth respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Free:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Drew Kibler<\/strong> of Carmel Swim Club delivered a sizzling top qualifying time in prelims of the men&#8217;s 50 free, stopping the clock at a 19.66 to be the only swimmer under the 20-second mark.<\/p>\n<p>Zionsville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Franzman\u00a0<\/strong>flirted with a sub-20 second swim with a 20.03, qualifying second for tonight&#8217;s final.<\/p>\n<p><strong>John Walker<\/strong> of SwimMAC grabbed the third place seed with a 20.24, followed closely by\u00a0<strong>Willie Davis<\/strong> of the Bolles School and his time of 20.28.<\/p>\n<p>Cicinnati Marlins&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Justin Grender<\/strong> added a fifth place seed of 20.45, while SwimMAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>William Chan\u00a0<\/strong>took sixth in prelims with a 20.52.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matthew Yish\u00a0<\/strong>of SOLO Aquatics and\u00a0<strong>Christian Berry\u00a0<\/strong>of Memphis Thunder finished seventh and eighth with times of 20.61 and 20.62 respectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Everything you need to follow along live with day two prelims of the 2016 Speedo Winter Jr Championships East.
