The SwimMAC A team got off to a quick start with\u00a0<strong>Julia Menkaus\u00a0<\/strong>(24.81) and\u00a0<strong>Caroline Hauder\u00a0<\/strong>(27.65). They followed that up with a 24.61 from\u00a0<strong>Sophie Linder\u00a0<\/strong>and a 22.93 from\u00a0<strong>Heidi Lowe<\/strong>, to finish in 1:40.00. Nashville Aquatic Club kept the race stroke for stroke.\u00a0<strong>Alex Walsh\u00a0<\/strong>led off in 24.68 and was followed by\u00a0<strong>Allie Raab\u00a0<\/strong>(27.78). The teams were tied at the 100 mark.\u00a0<strong>Ella Nelson\u00a0<\/strong>(25.08) and\u00a0<strong>Gretchen Walsh\u00a0<\/strong>(22.51) brought the team home in 1:40.05 for second place.<\/p>\n<p>Gator Swim Club was just off the top two teams, touching third in 1:40.49. The Gators swam\u00a0<strong>Caitlin Brooks\u00a0<\/strong>(25.55),\u00a0<strong>Isabel Ivey\u00a0<\/strong>(28.08),\u00a0<strong>Talia Bates\u00a0<\/strong>(24.04), and\u00a0<strong>Kaitlyn Cronin\u00a0<\/strong>(22.82). Cardinal Aquatics (1:40.7), SwimMAC Carolina B (1:41.24), and Carmel (1:42.38) followed. SwimAtlanta (1:42.92), and Upper Arlington Swim Club (1:43.02) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h2>Boys 200 Medley Relay<\/h2>\n<p>Bolles and SwimMAC then swam away from the boys&#8217; competition.\u00a0<strong>Matthew Serra<\/strong> (23.02),\u00a0<strong>James Daugherty\u00a0<\/strong>(24.87),\u00a0<strong>Ariel Spektor\u00a0<\/strong>(21.30), and\u00a0<strong>Willie Davis\u00a0<\/strong>(19.08) got to the wall first for the Sharks in 1:28.27. SwimMAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alexander McMurray\u00a0<\/strong>(22.80),\u00a0<strong>William Chan\u00a0<\/strong>(24.31),\u00a0<strong>Ikenna Eruchalu\u00a0<\/strong>(22.10), and\u00a0<strong>John Walker\u00a0<\/strong>(19.64) were a half second behind in 1:28.85.<\/p>\n<p>Earning bronze was the Cincinnati Marlins&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Justin Grender\u00a0<\/strong>(22.55),\u00a0<strong>Alexander Wade\u00a0<\/strong>(26.25),\u00a0<strong>Luke Sobolewski\u00a0<\/strong>(21.69), and\u00a0<strong>Nicholas Perera\u00a0<\/strong>(20.07).<\/p>\n<p>Carmel Swim Club (1:31.30), Lakeside Swim Team (1:31.69) and Upper Dublin Aquatic Club (1:31.96) finished fourth through sixth. Zionsville Swim Club (1:32.02) and Dynamo Swim Club (1:32.06) touched seventh and eighth.<\/p>\n<h2>Girls 800 Freestyle Relay<\/h2>\n<p>With fairly similar\u00a0splits across the board the Carmel girls powered their way to a dominant win in the longer relay of the night.\u00a0<strong>Samantha Burchill\u00a0<\/strong>got the relay out in a 1:48.26 followed by\u00a0<strong>Kelly Pash\u00a0<\/strong>(1:46.32) and\u00a0<strong>Emma Nordin\u00a0<\/strong>(1:46.10).\u00a0<strong>Gertrude Rothrock\u00a0<\/strong>(1:47.09) brought the team home in a 7:07.87.<\/p>\n<p>Nashville Aquatic Club and SwimMAC earned their second podium finishes. Raab (1:47.67), Gretchen Walsh (1:48.54), Nelson<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>(1:48.01), and Alexandra Walsh (1:46.17) posted a 7:10.39 for Nashville.<\/p>\n<p>Menkhaus (1:47.63), Linder (1:49.74),\u00a0<strong>Sinclair Larson\u00a0<\/strong>(1:48.40), and\u00a0<strong>Olwyn Bartis\u00a0<\/strong>(1:48.96) donned the blue and orange to earn SwimMAC bronze in 7:14.73. Just behind them was another North Carolina powerhouse- the Marlins of Raleigh in 7:15.00. Gator Swim Club (7:15.85), SwimAtlanta (7:18.35), and Mason Manta Rays (7:20.17) were fifth through seventh. A third team from the Tarheel state, New Wave (7:21.25) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h2>Boys 800 Freestyle Relay<\/h2>\n<p>After earning bronze in the medley relay the Cincinnati Marlins fought for gold in the night&#8217;s longer relay. Perera (1:37.79), Sobolewski (1:40.00), Grender (1:36.80), and\u00a0<strong>Joshua McDonald\u00a0<\/strong>(1:39.44) stopped the clock in 6:34.03, just .07 faster than Carmel&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Drew Kibler\u00a0<\/strong>(1:33.36),\u00a0<strong>Brett Sherman\u00a0<\/strong>(1:40.24),\u00a0<strong>Charles Vaughan\u00a0<\/strong>(1:42.86), and\u00a0<strong>Wyatt Davis\u00a0<\/strong>(1:37.64) in 6:34.10.<\/p>\n<p>Bolles finished third in 6:35.34 with the team of\u00a0Spektor\u00a0(1:37.21),\u00a0<strong>Gabriel Gomez Treig\u00a0<\/strong>(1:39.46),\u00a0<strong>Graham Ungrady\u00a0<\/strong>(1:39.45), and\u00a0<strong>Nicholas Hackett\u00a0<\/strong>(1:39.22).<\/p>\n<p>Upper Dublin (6:35.60), Quest Swimming (6:36.26), SwimMAC (6:38.18), SwimAtlanta (6:40.16), and Sarasota YMCA (6:40.31) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h2>Team Scores<\/h2>\n<p>After night one, the SwimMAC girls are already running away with the meet, posting 118 points ahead of Nashville&#8217;s 68 and Carmel&#8217;s 66.
