Geiger stopped the clock at a 15:44.00 to post the second fastest NCAA time for the 2016-17 season, sitting behind only Stanford&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katie Ledecky<\/strong> (15:03.92).<\/p>\n<p>Sandpipers of Nevada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Erica Sullivan<\/strong> took second overall with a strong 15:47.39, while Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lindsey Clary\u00a0<\/strong>was third with a 15:57.03. Clary&#8217;s time moves her to third in the NCAA rankings behind Zeiger and Ledecky.<\/p>\n<p>The Hoosier duo of\u00a0<strong>Stephanie Marchuk\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Cassy Jernberg<\/strong> finished fourth and fifth with times of 16:10.11 and 16:10.44 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Florida&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Autumn Finke<\/strong> grabbed sixth with a 16:14.89, just ahead of FAST&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cathryn Salladin<\/strong> and her time of 16:14.98.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Erin Emery\u00a0<\/strong>of Minnesota rounded out the top eight with a time of 16:21.08.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 1650 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Marwan El Kamash\u00a0<\/strong>delivered the top time in timed finals of the men&#8217;s 1650 free. Kamash&#8217;s time of 14:48.34 moves him to third in the NCAA rankings for the 2016-17 season.<\/p>\n<p>Florida&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ben Lawless<\/strong> posted the only other sub-15 minute swim with a final time of 14:58.83, which puts him in the top ten for the 2016-17 season. Teammate\u00a0<strong>Blake Manganiello\u00a0<\/strong>picked up the bronze medal with a 15:02.06 showing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Taylor Abbott<\/strong> of Tennessee took home fourth with a 15:03.43, while Florida&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Taylor Delk\u00a0<\/strong>was fifth with a 15:05.12.<\/p>\n<p>FAST&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Simon Lamar<\/strong> (15:07.09), Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Collins<\/strong> (15:07.58), and Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jackson Miller\u00a0<\/strong>(15:08.40) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Back:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Bridgette Alexander<\/strong> claimed her second championship gold medal with a top showing in the women&#8217;s 200 backstroke. Alexander posted the only sub-1:53 time in finals, stopping the clock with a 1:52.38 to earn her second backstroke title of the meet.<\/p>\n<p>NC State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hannah Moore<\/strong> picked up the silver medal with a 1:53.51 showing, shaving just over a second off her prelims time.\u00a0<strong>Kristen Romano\u00a0<\/strong>of Long Island Aquatic Club rounded out the podium with a final time of 1:53.98.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Erin Earley\u00a0<\/strong>of Hopkins Mariner touched fourth in finals with a 1:55.05, just ahead of City of Mobile&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Paige Madden\u00a0<\/strong>and her time of 1:55.07.<\/p>\n<p>Minnesota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tevyn Waddell<\/strong> (1:55.21), Phoenixville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emma Seiberlich<\/strong> (1:55.47), and Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ally Rockett<\/strong> (1:57.39) finished sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Back:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Arkady Vyatchanin<\/strong> of New York Athletic Club delivered a smooth swim in finals of the men&#8217;s 200 back. Vyatchanin&#8217;s swim was highlighted by a smooth stroke and strong walls as he powered his way to 1:40.12 for his first gold medal of the meet.<\/p>\n<p>FAST&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Omar Pinzon\u00a0<\/strong>stuck close with Vyatchanin throughout the race to finish second overall with a time of 1:41.27, just ahead of Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Bob Glober<\/strong> and his time of 1:41.96.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mark Nikolaev<\/strong> of Grand Canyon University turned in a 1:42.99 for fourth, followed by UNC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael Meyer<\/strong> and his time of 1:43.39.<\/p>\n<p>Club Mountaineer&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Bryce Bohman\u00a0<\/strong>(1:44.48), Metroplex&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jason Park<\/strong> (1:45.90), and\u00a0<strong>Yuval Safra<\/strong> (1:47.26) were sixth through eighth respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>Despite having one of the slower reaction times off the block, Gator Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Isabel Ivey\u00a0<\/strong>picked up a win in the women&#8217;s 100 free. Ivey displayed a smooth and strong stroke that allowed her to hold off the competition and finish first in a time of 48.33.<\/p>\n<p>University of North Carolina teammates\u00a0<strong>Sarah Hitchens<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Caroline Baldwin\u00a0<\/strong>picked up the silver and bronze medals with times of 48.74 and 48.86 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia Tech&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Iris Wang\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth overall with a 49.15, followed by Gold&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emma Cole\u00a0<\/strong>and her time of 49.30.<\/p>\n<p>SMU&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Victoria Cunningham\u00a0<\/strong>was sixth with a 49.39, while Nation&#8217;s Capital&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katie Mack\u00a0<\/strong>took seventh with a 49.76.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zoe Avestruz<\/strong> of Minnesota was disqualified from the event.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>Minnesota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Bowen Becker<\/strong> delivered some outside smoke from lane one of the men&#8217;s 100 free final, sneaking his hand in at the finish to claim the championship gold medal. Becker stopped the clock at a final time of 42.87, leading the pack for the majority of the race and posting a personal best time.<\/p>\n<p>The field narrowed substantially from there as the second through fourth place swimmers posted times within .12 seconds. Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anze Tavcar<\/strong> picked up a narrow silver medal with a 43.12 finish over Great Omaha&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jacob Molacek&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>43.14.<\/p>\n<p>Dyanmo Swim Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Matias Koski\u00a0<\/strong>picked up fourth with a 43.24, followed by Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sam Lorentz<\/strong> and his time of 43.48.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Paul Fair<\/strong> of Minnesota finished sixth with a 43.80, while\u00a0<strong>Jack Dolan<\/strong> (44.08) and Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Josh Romany <\/strong>(44.22)\u00a0completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Breast:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Breeja Larson\u00a0<\/strong>of New York Athletic Club built upon a smooth stroke to take home gold in the women&#8217;s 200 breaststroke. Larson stopped the clock at a 2:06.42, shaving some time off her prelims swim of 2:08.27.<\/p>\n<p>Club Wolverine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Miranda Tucker\u00a0<\/strong>made her move in the back half of the race to stick close to Larson and pick up the silver medal with a 2:07.44.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nikol Popov\u00a0<\/strong>of Canyons Aquatics made her way to the podium with a 2:09.13 for third.<\/p>\n<p>Minnesota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lindsey Horejsi\u00a0<\/strong>took fourth overall with a 2:10.05, followed by\u00a0<strong>Kendra Crew<\/strong> and her time of 2:11.39.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Danielle Herrmann\u00a0<\/strong>of Clovis started out strong, leading after the first 50 yards, but faded to sixth and a time of 2:11.40.<\/p>\n<p>Metroplex&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Vanessa Pearl\u00a0<\/strong>and Ohio State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Taylor Vargo\u00a0<\/strong>completed the heat with times of 2:!1.64 and 2:13.44 respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Breast:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Kevin Cordes<\/strong>, swimming unattached, picked up his second championship gold medal of the meet in the men&#8217;s 200 breaststroke final, but not without some strong competition from WEST&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nick Zito\u00a0<\/strong>and Minnesota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Conner McHugh<\/strong>. Cordes stopped the clock at a 1:53.51, relying upon his signature long stroke to propel him away from the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Zito grabbed second with a final time of 1:54.67, followed closely by McHugh and his time of 1:54.85.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miguel De Lara<\/strong>, swimming unattached, finished fourth overall with a 1:55.65, while veteran\u00a0<strong>Mike Alexandrov<\/strong>, representing New York Athletic Club, was fifth with a 1:56.62.<\/p>\n<p>Minnesota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>John Bushman<\/strong> (1:56.83),\u00a0<strong>Juan Sequera<\/strong> (1:56.94), and Canyons Aquatic&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tanner Olson<\/strong> (1:57.40) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Hannah Saiz<\/strong> of Schroeder YMCA turned up the heat in the back half of the women&#8217;s 200 fly to take the gold medal. Saiz turned in a time of 1:55.73, about .70 seconds off her personal best.<\/p>\n<p>Ohio State&#8217;s<strong>\u00a0Meg Bailey\u00a0<\/strong>posted a 1:56.10 to grab the silver medal and post a personal best time. Bailey was followed to the wall by University of North Carolina teammates\u00a0<strong>Caty Hulsey\u00a0<\/strong>(1:56.45) and\u00a0<strong>Sarah Koucheki<\/strong> (1:56.52).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Danielle Nack\u00a0<\/strong>of Minnesota led throughout the first half of the race, but faded to fifth in the second half, settling for a time of 1:56.83.<\/p>\n<p>The Hoosier duo of\u00a0<strong>Reagan Cook\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Gia Dalesandro\u00a0<\/strong>collected sixth and seventh place respectively with times of 1:57.50 and 1:58.36.<\/p>\n<p>Tennessee&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michelle Cefal\u00a0<\/strong>was eighth with a time of 1:59.04.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p>Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Vini Lanza<\/strong> powered to a decisive win in the men&#8217;s 200 fly, posting a personal best time and the fastest time in the NCAA for the 2016-17 season. Lanza stopped the clock at a 1:41.34, finishing ahead of the competition by close to two body lengths.<\/p>\n<p>Nation&#8217;s Capital&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sam Pomajevich<\/strong> finished second overall with a time of 1:44.03, while Pasadena&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sean Lee\u00a0<\/strong>picked up the bronze medal with a time of 1:45.57.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Luis Soto Ramirez<\/strong> posted a fourth place finish of 1:45.98, followed by Upper Main Line&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brendan Burns<\/strong> and his time of 1:46.50.<\/p>\n<p>Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Max Irwin\u00a0<\/strong>(1:47.13), Sandpipers of Nevada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Carter Grimes<\/strong> (1:47.29), and Michigan State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Scott Piper\u00a0<\/strong>(1:48.18) finished sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 400 Free Relay:<\/h3>\n<p>The Minnesota women&#8217;s &#8216;A&#8217; relay took home gold in the 400 free relay with a combined time of 3:18.92. Minnesota was represented in the pool by\u00a0<strong>Zoe Avestruz<\/strong> (49.24),\u00a0<strong>Danielle Nack\u00a0<\/strong>(49.19),\u00a0<strong>Katelyn\u00a0<\/strong><b>Holmqvist<\/b> (50.80), and\u00a0<strong>Tevyn Waddell\u00a0<\/strong>(49.69).<\/p>\n<p>Indiana&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ally Rockett<\/strong> (50.00),\u00a0<strong>Gia Dalesandro<\/strong> (51.19),\u00a0<strong>Holly Spears<\/strong> (49.75), and\u00a0<strong>Delaney Barnard<\/strong> (49.88) posted a combined time of 3:20.82 for second overall.<\/p>\n<p>Villanova rounded out the podium as relay members\u00a0<strong>Elise Pidutti<\/strong> (51.28),\u00a0<strong>Darby Goodwin<\/strong> (50.67),\u00a0<strong>Taylor Wilson<\/strong> (50.19), and\u00a0<strong>Alexa Fabbri<\/strong> (49.35) turned in a combined time of 3:21.49.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 400 Free Relay:<\/h3>\n<p>The Indiana Hoosiers completed the meet with a sweep of the men&#8217;s relays. The relay team of\u00a0<strong>Vini Lanza<\/strong> (43.28),\u00a0<strong>Marwan El Kamash\u00a0<\/strong>(43.23),\u00a0<strong>Anze Tavcar<\/strong> (42.81), and\u00a0<strong>Josh Romany<\/strong> (43.61) posted a combined time of 2:52.93 for the gold.<\/p>\n<p>Minnesota added a silver medal to their collection with a combined time of 2:54.89.
