Coley Stickels<\/strong> brought eight of his athletes from the Canyons Aquatic Club across the country to Atlanta for the AT&T Winter National Championships. In a video interview with\u00a0Swimming World<\/em> before Saturday morning’s prelims, Stickels explained what he hoped to get out of the meet and how he felt his athletes have reacted.<\/p>\n

Stickels also delved into his intensive weight training program, one which\u00a0Abbey Weitzeil<\/strong> and\u00a0Santo Condorelli<\/strong> both followed on their way to strong performances at the Olympic Games in Rio and one that National finalist\u00a0Nikol Popov<\/strong><\/a> now follows. Stickels also evaluated the performances of those Olympians and reflected on how his training program had adjusted during the Olympic year.<\/p>\n
