The Indiana sophomore finished behind <strong>Tom Shields<\/strong>, who set a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/tom-shields-becomes-first-man-to-break-44-seconds-in-100-fly-scy\/\" target=\"_blank\">new American and U.S. Open record.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Hoosier notched his NCAA A cut in the event while setting a new school record. Lanza also won the men\u2019s 200 IM last night in 1:43.57.<\/p>\n<p>Lanza discussed how hard Indiana has been working this season and the energy the team brings.
