The 29 year-old is the current world record holder in the short course meter 50 butterfly, a record he set back in November of 2009. <\/span><b>Deibler <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">competed in three Olympic Games: 2008, 2012, and 2016. His best Olympic finish came in the men\u2019s 100 butterfly in London, where he finished fourth. The German found more success in the short course pool, which included four gold medals at the 2010 European Short Course Championships. The meet will take place Nov. 30 &#8211; Dec. 3 and will feature 6 U.S. Olympians, including Florida junior <\/span><b>Caeleb Dressel <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">who will be returning to the site of his record breaking NCAA performance last March. Other U.S. Olympians will include <\/span><b>Kevin Cordes <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(2016), <\/span><b>Melanie Margalis <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(2016)<\/span><b>, Tom Shields <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(2016)<\/span><b>, Amanda Weir <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(2004, 2008, 2016)<\/span><b>, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>Breeja Larson <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(2012). This is often seen as a major step toward retirement, as it takes nine months of testing up re-entering the pool to be eligible again for competition. While he had stated publicly many times that the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games would be his last, we\u2019ve heard <\/span><b>Michael Phelps <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sing that song before. Four years ago, London 2012 was seen as the Olympic legend\u2019s last Games, with <\/span><b>Phelps\u2019 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">also taking himself out of the USADA testing pool following those Games. The GOAT took home four awards at the event, including the Impact Award, Relay of the Year, Male Race of the Year, and the Male Athlete of the Year. The annual awards show brings together the best of USA Swimming to honor athletes and their performances throughout the year. <\/span><b>Rowdy Gaines <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was the host of this year\u2019s event, which included a total of 10 awards. The other award winners included <\/span><b>Simone Manuel <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Female Race of the Year), <\/span><b>Elizabeth Beisel <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Team Leadership and Inspiration Award), <\/span><b>Lilly King <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Breakout Performer of the Year), <\/span><b>Anthony Ervin <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Perseverance Award), <\/span><b>Dave Durden <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Coach of the Year), and <\/span><b>Katie Ledecky <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Female Athlete of the Year).
