Check out our recaps below of some of the notable meets and performances from across the country in this week\u2019s Division II Meet Recap.<\/p>\n<h3><b>A3 Performance Invitational<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UC-San Diego hosted the A3 Performance Invitational this weekend, finishing second ahead of many Division I programs. The Triton men finished second out of five teams behind UC-Santa Barbara, while the Triton women finished sixth out of eleven in a more competitive field. That is nice improvement over last year for the men\u2019s team, who finished fourth at last year&#8217;s meet. The UC-San Diego men and women are currently ranked third and sixth in the country, respectively. Highlights for the Tritons included:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Senior <\/span><b>Jaimie Bryan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who won the 200 breaststroke in 2:14.61, just off of her lifetime best and less than a second off of the automatic qualifying time for NCAA\u2019s. That time gives <\/span><b>Bryan <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the fastest time in the country and makes her the only woman this year under 2:15. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sophomore transfer <\/span><b>Amanda Sumrow, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">who posted a 2:01.23 in the 200 butterfly, which moves her up to second fastest in the event in the country. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sophomore <\/span><b>Reagan Eickert, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">who posted a best time in the 500 free (4:57.37), nearly two seconds faster than her best time from NCAA\u2019s last year. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Complete results from the 2016 A3 Performance Invitational can be found <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ucsdtritons.com\/pdf9\/5096726.pdf?ATCLID=211308957&amp;SPSID=93266&amp;SPID=11062&amp;DB_LANG=C&amp;DB_OEM_ID=5800\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Panther Invitational<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some of the best teams in Division II gathered at the 2016 Panther Invitational, hosted by Florida Tech, including the #3 ranked West Florida women\u2019s team. The West Florida women won the meet handily, finishing first out of five teams, while the Florida Tech men beat their sole competitor, Saint Leo University. Notable swims from the meet included:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">West Florida\u2019s <\/span><b>Theresa Michalak <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">posting the second ranked time in the 50 free (22.53), 100 free (49.42), and 100 breast (1:00.62). All three times are automatic NCAA qualifying times. She also posted the country\u2019s fastest 100 backstroke (54.52), and second fastest 100 fly (53.98).<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Florida Tech senior <\/span><b>Nir Barnea <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">posting the second fastest 50 free (20.02) in the country.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Florida Tech sophomore <\/span><b>Victor Furtado <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">dropping over a second from his season best to lead the country in the 100 free (43.87).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Complete results from the 2016 Panther Invitational can be found <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/sidearm.sites.s3.amazonaws.com\/fit.sidearmsports.com\/documents\/2016\/11\/20\/1120PantherInvitational.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Other Notable Swims<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Several other teams across the country competed at invitational meets this week, including Drury and Queens, two of the top-ranked teams in Division II swimming this season. Some other notable swims from the week included:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drury freshman <\/span><b>Bailee Nunn <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">making three automatic qualifying times at the Missouri Invitational in the 100 breast (1:00.42), 200 IM (1:57.96), and 100 fly (53.16). All three times currently lead the country. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drury senior <\/span><b>Wen Xu <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">posting nation-leading times in the 50 free (22.48) and 100 free (49.33), both automatic qualifying times.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drury swimmers <\/span><b>Erica Dahlgren <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>Ella Bryan <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tying for the fastest time in the country in the 500 free (4:52.66). <\/span><b>Bryan <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">also posted the fastest time in the 1,650 (16:49.03). <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drury junior <\/span><b>Rodrigo Caceres <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">posting a lifetime best in the 50 free (19.73) to lead the country in the event. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drury freshman <\/span><b>Konrad Stepien <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">swimming by far the fastest time in the country in the 500 free (4:17.19) and achieving an automatic qualifying time for NCAA\u2019s. That time makes him the fastest in the country so far by about eight seconds. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Queens junior <\/span><b>Paul Pijulet <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">posting the number one times in the country in the 100 back (47.70) and 200 back (1:44.89). <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Queens junior <\/span><b>Dion Dreesens <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hitting season best times in the 100 free (44.55), 200 free (1:36.58), and 500 free (4:25.77).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Queens junior <\/span><b>Nick Arakelian <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">going a lifetime best in the 200 breaststroke (1:58.04) to lead the country in addition to an automatic qualifying time in the 400 IM (3:48.17). <\/span><b>Arakelian <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is the two-time defending NCAA Champion in the 400 IM, but has never swum the 200 breast at NCAA\u2019s. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As we move closer toward December the
