In the Division 1 meet the Catholic High School Bears and Jesuit High School had an intense back and forth in the boys&#8217; meet. The Division 2 meets featured more decisive scores.<\/p>\n<h2>Division 1<\/h2>\n<p>The Catholic High School Bears boys scored 483 points on Saturday. Jesuit High School tallied 450, putting both schools well ahead of third place St. Paul&#8217;s School with 112. The schools showed their dominance in the opening relay where Catholic swam\u00a0<strong>Grant Dawson<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jonathan Mckeough<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Carter Richard<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Nick Romero\u00a0<\/strong>and won in 1:35.04. On their heals was Jesuit&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Charles Korndorffer<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Davis Edwards<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Michael Foley,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Noah Wilkins\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:35.24. The next best time was a 1:42.40.<\/p>\n<p>Catholic&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sion Cavana\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 freestyle in 1:41.66. Jesuit&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Josh Armond\u00a0<\/strong>was runner up in 1:42.99. Jesuit fired back in the 50 freestyle as Wilkins stopped the clock in 21.31, just faster than Romero in 21.52. Jesuit then went one-two in the 100 butterfly with\u00a0<strong>Jack Johnson\u00a0<\/strong>(49.98) and Korndorffer (50.14).<\/p>\n<p>Cavana then captured the 100 freestyle title in 46.88 ahead of a Jesuit duo: Wilkins (47.11) and Foley (47.27).<\/p>\n<p>Rummel&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Thomas Vanderbrook\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 IM in\u00a01:50.80 and the 100 backstroke in 50.06. With a 59.57\u00a0<strong>Ricky LaFleur\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 breaststroke.<\/p>\n<p>Jesuit won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:26.19 with\u00a0<strong>Connor Schwartz<\/strong>, Wilkins, Johnson, and\u00a0<strong>Jack Baudouin<\/strong>. In 1:27.15 Catholic was second with Cavana, Richard,\u00a0<strong>Braden Nyboer<\/strong>, and Romero. Johnson,\u00a0<strong>Josh Armond<\/strong>, Schwartz, and Foley combined to win the 400 freestyle relay (3:09.66) for Jesuit. Catholic touched second in 3:10.11 with Nyboer,\u00a0<strong>Lance Michael Rodriguez<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Daniel Woodruff<\/strong>, and Cavana.<\/p>\n<p>On the girls side, St. Joseph&#8217;s Academy scored 314.5 points to Mount Carmel Academy&#8217;s 280.<\/p>\n<p>Northshore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Madelyn Byrd<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Aubrey St. Pierre<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Cora Delgado<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Jaycee Morrison\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 medley relay in 1:50.22. Delgado won the 200 freestyle in 1:55.85.<\/p>\n<p>St. Joseph&#8217;s took the 200 freestyle relay in 1:41.04 with the team of\u00a0<strong>Annalane Lee<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Abigail Cazes<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Claire Bass<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Bethany Seagraves.\u00a0<\/strong>They then swapped Bass for\u00a0<strong>Kirby Black\u00a0<\/strong>to take the 400 freestyle relay in 3:38.28. Seagraves took home two individual title with a 2:08.54 200 IM and a 56.68 100 bacsktroke.<\/p>\n<p>BR High&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nora Scott\u00a0<\/strong>won the 50 freestyle (24.72) and Mount Carmel&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Schexnayder\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 free in 53.13. Lafayette&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ashlyn Hunt\u00a0<\/strong>dominated the 100 butterfly with a 56.50. Mount Carmel&#8217;s junior\u00a0<strong>Kaylin Swoboda\u00a0<\/strong>posted a winning 1:05.41 in the 100 breaststroke.<\/p>\n<h2>Divison 2<\/h2>\n<p>Ruston High was dominant in the boys&#8217; meet, scoring 494 points to Holy Cross&#8217; 239. The Saint Scholastica girls were champions with 303 points.<\/p>\n<p>Ruston swept the boys&#8217; relays.\u00a0<strong>Jackson Boersma<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Blake Rhymes<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Nathan Hegab<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>John Higginbotham\u00a0<\/strong>swam a 1:43.09 in the 200 medley. Higginbotham,\u00a0<strong>Cameron Roberts<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Christian Payne<\/strong>, and Boersma combined for a 1:31.55 in the 200 freestyle relay. Rhymes, Roberts, Haegab and\u00a0<strong>Justin Holmes\u00a0<\/strong>then won the 400 freestyle relay bt sixteen seconds with a 3:24.50.<\/p>\n<p>Boersma went onto win the 50 freestyle in 21.32 and the 100 breaststroke in 58.03. Holmes touched first in the 100 backstroke (54.03).<\/p>\n<p>Holy Cross won two individual events.\u00a0<strong>Alec Adams\u00a0<\/strong>posted a 1:46.37 in the 200 freestyle and a 52.89 in the 100 butterfly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Martin Owen\u00a0<\/strong>was the only swimmer under five minutes in the 500 freestyle, smoking the field in 4:46.77. He also won the 200 IM in 1:56.29, the only finisher faster than two minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Third place finishers St. Thomas Moore won the opening and closing girls&#8217; relays.\u00a0<strong>Grace Horton<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ashley Richard<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ella Balhoff<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Elizabeth Skinner\u00a0<\/strong>swam a 1:53.40 in the 200 medley relay. They then swapped Balhoff for\u00a0<strong>Hannah Richard\u00a0<\/strong>and won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:42.55. In between Cabrini&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gabriella O&#8217;Neil<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Madisyn England<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sarah Keith<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Kathryn Mipro\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 freestyle relay with a 1:40.99.<\/p>\n<p>O&#8217;Neil was the only finisher under two minutes in the 200 freestyle with a winning 1:56.94. She also topped the 100 breaststroke podium in 1:08.71. Horton dominated the 100 freestyle in 51.73 and then won the 100 backstroke by nearly five seconds with a 55.84.<\/p>\n<p>Ruston senior\u00a0<strong>Maddie Carson\u00a0<\/strong>stopped the clock in 2:12.62 in the 200 IM.
