Now, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20130605192621\/http:\/\/www.usaswimming.org\/DesktopDefault.aspx?TabId=2102&amp;Alias=Rainbow&amp;Lang=en\" target=\"_blank\">event page<\/a> on USA Swimming&#8217;s website,\u00a0<strong>Dan Hicks\u00a0<\/strong>will handle hosting duties.<\/p>\n<p>The 13th annual Golden Goggles awards will be held Monday night, Nov. 21, at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square in New York City.<\/p>\n<p>Hicks has served as the play-by-play announcer for swimming in each of the past six Olympic Games alongside analyst\u00a0<strong>Rowdy Gaines<\/strong>. He also has covered World Championships in 2009, 2013 and 2015. During the year, he is the main host of NBC&#8217;s golf coverage and also calls Notre Dame football games for the network.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We\u2019re excited about having Dan,&#8221; USA Swimming spokesperson\u00a0<strong>John Martin\u00a0<\/strong>said in a statement to\u00a0<em>Swimming World<\/em>. &#8220;He has been the lead commentator on NBC Sports swimming coverage for years, he loves the sport and the people in it and the swimming community enjoys and respects him.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Back in early October, when USA Swimming announced this year&#8217;s\u00a0Golden Goggles nominees,\u00a0NBC Olympic host\u00a0Bob Costas\u00a0was slated to emcee the event for the fourth time.
