AT what was officially tabbed as the largest regional Masters championship meet in history with 650 swimmers, 33 individual and 24 relay Masters world records were broken at the SPMA short course meters championships in Long Beach, Calif., at the Belmont Olympic Plaza pool last weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Jamie Fowler led all record breakers with five new marks to his credit in the men&#39;s 50-54 age group. Suzanne Heim-Bowen and Laura Val also impressed with four world records each in their respective age groups.<\/p>\n<p>Following is a list of the world records broken by age group, with the old records in parentheses.
