UNLV senior Kristina Hendrick<\/strong> has been named Mountain West Swimmer of the Week, while Nevada junior Sharae Zheng<\/strong> has earned MW Women\u2019s Diver of the Week honors for competition through November 6, 2016. It is the first MW weekly honor for Hendrick and the second accolade for Zheng.<\/p>\n

The Mountain West Women\u2019s Swimming & Diving Championships will be held February 15-18<\/span> at the Texas A&M Natatorium in College Station, Texas.<\/p>\n

WOMEN\u2019S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK<\/u><\/strong><\/h4>\n

KRISTINA HENDRICK, UNLV<\/strong><\/p>\n

Senior, Santa Maria, California \/ Ernest Righetti HS<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Was one of the top swimmers for UNLV last week as the Rebels split meets with Utah and BYU.<\/li>\n
  • Won two individual races and placed third in two additional events in the 178-122 loss to the Utes on Friday<\/span>.<\/li>\n
  • In the 160-120 win over the Cougars on Saturday<\/span>, won one individual race and placed second in three other events.<\/li>\n
  • Won the 100-yard breaststroke in both meets. She posted the second-fastest time in the MW this season on Friday<\/span> of 1:03.61, followed by a 1:04.10 on Saturday<\/span>.<\/li>\n
  • Won the 200-yard individual medley on Friday<\/span> with a time of 2:04.80 and placed second in the 400-yard individual medley (4:28.05) on Saturday<\/span>.<\/li>\n
  • Against Utah also swam the 200-yard breaststroke (3rd<\/sup>; 2:20.61) and the third leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay (3rd<\/sup>; 1:38.17).<\/li>\n
  • Swam legs of the second-place 200-yard medley relay (1:46.33) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:30.43) teams against BYU.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    WOMEN\u2019S DIVER OF THE WEEK<\/u><\/strong><\/h4>\n

    SHARAE ZHENG, NEVADA<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Junior, Chengdu, China \/ Sport School of Sichuan Province<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Won both springboard events for Nevada in a double-dual meet victory over Cal State East Bay and UC Davis.<\/li>\n
    • Won the 1-meter springboard event with an NCAA-qualifying score of 348.85.<\/li>\n
    • Took the 3-meter title with an NCAA-qualifying, and pool-record, score of 409.80.<\/li>\n
    • Both marks are tops in the Mountain West this season.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
