Psych sheets for this weekend&#8217;s action have been released.<\/p>\n<h2>1A Meet<\/h2>\n<h2>Girls<\/h2>\n<p>Pinecrest&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Marta Ciesla,<\/strong>\u00a0a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/junior-national-champion-sprinter-marta-ciesla-commits-to-usc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Southern California commit<\/a>,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>enters the weekend with the fastest times in both sprint freestyle events. Oak Hall&#8217;s National Junior Team member\u00a0<strong>Isabel Ivey\u00a0<\/strong>is the second seed in the 50 freestyle and will also be a threat in the 200 IM where she holds the third seed.<\/p>\n<p>Westminster Academy junior\u00a0<strong>Jessica Nava\u00a0<\/strong>is the top seed in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke. Nava, the 100 butterfly state record holder, is entered over a second ahead of the field in the event.<\/p>\n<p>The 100 breaststroke event should be a tight one, as the top five swimmers dive into the weekend spread out by less than a second. A trio of sophomores lead the way: Cutler Bay&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hailey Jerew,\u00a0<\/strong>Saint Andrew&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shayna Fetes<\/strong>, and Pine Crest&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hannah Virgin.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tampa Catholic junior\u00a0<strong>Christin Rockway\u00a0<\/strong>leads a trio of swimmers with sub-five minute 500 freestyle entries.<\/p>\n<p>The relays look to be a battle. Starting off the meet in the 200 medley relay, Trinity Prep holds the upper hand with an entry time .33 faster than Lake Highland Prep. Pinecrest has an equally narrow lead over Saint Andrew&#8217;s entering the 200 freestyle relay. Trinity Prep and Pine Crest will dive into the 400 freestyle relay with seed times a mere tenth of a second apart.<\/p>\n<h2>Boys<\/h2>\n<p>The 200 freestyle is an incredibly deep event. Lake Highland Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hayden Curley\u00a0<\/strong>enters with a 1:42.37, followed by Bolles&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Graham Ungrady\u00a0<\/strong>(1:42.80). The sixth seed comes into the meet with a 1:42.82.<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Verot holds the top two seeds in the 500 freestyle with\u00a0<strong>Santiago Corredor<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Mathew Strickland<\/strong>. Corredor follows that up with a second seeded 200 IM, behind Nsu&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Patrick Groters<\/strong>. Groters also tops the 100 backstroke.<\/p>\n<p>While nobody should near\u00a0<strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong>&#8216;s (Bolles) 50 freestyle state and national record of 19.29, Berkeley&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Robert Cecil\u00a0<\/strong>is the only swimmer under 21 with a 20.99. Bolles teammates\u00a0<strong>John Pate\u00a0<\/strong>(21.32) and\u00a0<strong>James Daughtery\u00a0<\/strong>(21.43) are on his heels. Cecil and Pate are also the fastest two entries in the 100 freestyle.<\/p>\n<p>Bolles&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Paul DeGrado\u00a0<\/strong>and Daughtery lead the way in to the 100 breaststroke, just ahead of Saint Andrew&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Izaak Bastian\u00a0<\/strong>and Westlake Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Quinn Lacoursiere<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The boys&#8217; relays have a much wider time spread than the girls&#8217;. Saint Andrew&#8217;s enters the 200 medley relay with the top seed, a second and a half ahead of Bolles. Berkeley Prep then leads the way by three tenths in the 200 freestyle relay, with Trinity Christian and Pine Crest holding the next two spots. Berkeley Prep&#8217;s lead is two and a half seconds in the 400 freestyle relay.<\/p>\n<p>The psych sheet is available <a href=\"http:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2016-florida-high-school-1a-psych-sheet-high-school-2016-11-11.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>2A Meet<\/h2>\n<h2>Girls<\/h2>\n<p>The Gulliver Prep girls look to make it a clean sweep of the relays with the fastest entry time in each.<\/p>\n<p>On the individual event front, the team has the top seed in two events. <strong>Brooke Ellis\u00a0<\/strong>leads the way in the 200 IM. In the 100 butterfly she is the third seed, but teammate\u00a0<strong>Emily Cordovi\u00a0<\/strong>has the top spot. Gulliver Prep&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Marcella Ruppert-Gomez\u00a0<\/strong>(4:53.84) is entered only .03 behind Bayshore sophomore\u00a0<strong>Ryley Ober<\/strong>\u00a0(4:53.81)<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>in the 500 freestyle. Cordovi is second seed in the 100 backstroke behind Wesley Chapel&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Abbey Duncan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>American Heritage junior <strong>Catharine Cooper\u00a0<\/strong>is entered with the fastest time in the 50 and 100 freestyle.\u00a0<strong>Mackenzie Stumpf\u00a0<\/strong>of Tarpon Springs\u00a0tops the rankings in the 100 breaststroke.<\/p>\n<h2>Boys<\/h2>\n<p>Gulliver Prep leads the way in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays. Arnold has the top seed in the 200 medley relay.<\/p>\n<p>Coming into the meet<strong> Miguel Cancel\u00a0<\/strong>of Gulliver Prep has the fastest 200 IM time by two seconds. His teammate\u00a0<strong>Trahern Gribble\u00a0<\/strong>leads the way in the 100 butterfly.<\/p>\n<p>Tarpon Springs senior\u00a0<strong>Adam Tapia\u00a0<\/strong>heads the pack in the 200 freestyle with an entry time a second ahead of the next best swimmer.\u00a0St. Brendan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Irvin Hoost\u00a0<\/strong>is the top seed in the 50 and 100 freestyle events.<\/p>\n<p>Jesuit&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brendan Driscoll\u00a0<\/strong>and Bayshore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>T.C. Smith\u00a0<\/strong>are set up for a tight battle in the 500 freestyle. In the 100 backstroke South Lake&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Conor Lynch <\/strong>(52.20)<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>has been just .01 faster than Fort Walton Beach&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daniel Orcutt\u00a0<\/strong>(52.21) this year. Completing a trio of top seeded seniors\u00a0Suncoast&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jared Ingram\u00a0<\/strong>(52.31) is also in the mix. Arnold&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chad McGuire\u00a0<\/strong>(58.22) leads four swimmers with sub-minute 100 breaststroke entries.
