There is a rivalry unlike many others in the nation, especially in the Pac-12 \u2014 especially in the pool.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, the Cal-Stanford rivalry gets a much-anticipated reboot at Stanford for the annual men’s triple-distance meet.<\/p>\n

Cal\u2019s Ryan Murphy<\/strong> will bring his experience as defending Olympic gold medalist in both backstroke events to this elite college rivalry.<\/p>\n

The Stanford men don\u2019t have one superstar, but plenty of collegiate stars, led by Sam Perry, Liam Egan, Abrahm DeVine<\/strong> and Ryan<\/strong> Dudzinski<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This meet will have everything: The rivalry, superstars, All-Americans, team depth and great coaches.<\/p>\n

There is no reason to think it won\u2019t live up to the hype of being one of the best dual meets of the season.<\/p>\n

Here is what else is going on in the Pac-12 this week:<\/p>\n

Arizona State vs. USC<\/h3>\n

The Arizona State Sun Devils are coming off of some strong performances to start the season and will face a big test against USC. On Friday. Louise Hansson<\/strong> and Maddie Wright<\/strong> lead the Trojans in the first of their double dip with Arizona teams this week.<\/p>\n

Utah vs. UNLV<\/h3>\n

The Utes are looking to be one of the sleepers in the Pac-12 race, especially in the men\u2019s competition. Utah faces a meet against the Running Rebels that should prove they will be a factor in the Pac-12.<\/p>\n

Arizona vs. USC<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just a day after facing Arizona State, the USC Trojans will turn around and face Arizona. Wright will face off against fellow Michigan native and NCAA qualifier Taylor Garcia<\/strong> of the Wildcats.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
