Voted on by CSCAA-member coaches, these regular polls show the Top 25 teams across the country and give fans a better sense of who will challenge for the tops spots at NCAA\u2019s at the end of the year. For Division I, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/michigan-women-indiana-men-top-first-cscaa-poll-of-2016-17-season\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the University of Michigan women and the Indiana University men were chosen as the top teams in the country<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. For Division II, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/drury-university-nova-southeastern-top-first-division-ii-cscaa-polls\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the Drury women and Nova Southeastern men claimed the top spots<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with defending National Champions Queens University of Charlotte just behind in the second spot on both sides. The 39 year old has been a staple on the international scene since 1993 (save for a period in 2013 when she took time off to have her first child), when she competed at the European Short Course Championships in the 100 backstroke. A strong competitor in the sprint freestyle and butterfly events over the years, <\/span><b>Alshammar <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">made her Olympic debut in Atlanta and has competed at every Olympic Games since, including Rio de Janeiro this summer. Instagram, @m_phelps00<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This week recently re-retired Olympic legend <\/span><b>Michael Phelps <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and Miss California <\/span><b>Nicole Johnson <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/michael-phelps-nicole-johnson-tie-the-knot-with-family-and-friends\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">were married in a private ceremony in Cabo San Lucas<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The two were surrounded by family and friends and announced the ceremony the day after the event on social media. The ceremony did not make it official, however, as we also learned this week that the couple<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/michael-phelps-and-nicole-johnson-secretly-married-in-june\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">had already tired the knot well before the 2016 Rio Olympic Games<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The two were officially married back in June according to a marriage license that was published in several news outlets. The initial ceremony took place in Arizona and was officiated by <\/span><b>Peter Carlisle, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Phelps\u2019 long-time agent. Hungarian <\/span><b>Katinka Hosszu <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and Russian <\/span><b>Vladimir Morozov <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">both ended the series winning their third straight cluster and finishing as high point earners for the entire series. The final stop was Hong Kong, where <\/span><b>Morozov <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was just hundredths away from adding another world record to his resume. Securing the win in the 100 IM in 50.33, the Russian was only .03 away from the world record he set earlier in the series, a 50.30 from Berlin.
