American\u00a0<strong>Kelsi Worrell\u00a0<\/strong>completed the podium in 53.01. Her USA teammate\u00a0<strong>Eva Merrell\u00a0<\/strong>finished fifth (54.54) behind Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michelle Williams\u00a0<\/strong>(53.88).<\/p>\n<p>Finland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hanna-Marie Seppala\u00a0<\/strong>(54.71), Russian&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daria Ustinova\u00a0<\/strong>(54.86) and China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yue Wu\u00a0<\/strong>(55.15) finished sixth, seventh, and eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Freestyle<\/h3>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s first event of the morning, Belgium&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Pieter Timmers\u00a0<\/strong>out touched Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>James Guy\u00a0<\/strong>1:44.57 to 1:44.59. Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daiya Seto\u00a0<\/strong>clocked a 1:45.81 for third, just .09 faster than Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Peter Bernek<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Poul Sellmann\u00a0<\/strong>(1:48.15) of Great Britain, Columbia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Omar Pinzon Garcia\u00a0<\/strong>(1:48.96), Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jeremy Bagshaw\u00a0<\/strong>(1:49.28) and the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrew Joseph Abruzzo\u00a0<\/strong>(1:51.05) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Breaststroke<\/h3>\n<p>In the final sprint breaststroke event of the world cup, Jamaica&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alia Atkinson\u00a0<\/strong>got to the wall first with a 29.20. American\u00a0<strong>Molly Hannis <\/strong>(29.75)\u00a0touched just before Russian\u00a0<strong>Yulia Efimova\u00a0<\/strong>(29.77) and her own teammate\u00a0<strong>Breeja Larson\u00a0<\/strong>(29.88).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sarah Vasey\u00a0<\/strong>of Great Britain was fifth in 30.52 while Iceland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hrafnhildur Luthersdottir\u00a0<\/strong>finished sixth in 30.73. Wrapping up the final were USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zoe Bartel\u00a0<\/strong>(31.17) and Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rachel Nicol\u00a0<\/strong>(31.22).<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Breaststroke<\/h3>\n<p>The top four swimmers cleared a minute with Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Felipe Lima\u00a0<\/strong>leading the charge in 57.32. Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Marco Koch\u00a0<\/strong>(58.53) was .01 faster than Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yasuhiro Koseki\u00a0<\/strong>(58.54). His teammate\u00a0<strong>Ippei Watanabe\u00a0<\/strong>(59.37) was fourth. In 1:00.08\u00a0<strong>Michael Andrew\u00a0<\/strong>of the USA finished fifth. Syria&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Azad Al Barazi\u00a0<\/strong>(1:00.51), Hong Kong&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hoi Tung Ronald Tsui\u00a0<\/strong>(1:01.52), and Bermuda&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Julian Fletcher\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.46) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Butterfly<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Chad Le Clos\u00a0<\/strong>of South Africa unleashed a winning 49.52 ahead of Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shinri Shioura\u00a0<\/strong>(50.97).<\/p>\n<p>Belarus&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Ravel Sankovich\u00a0<\/strong>(51.11), USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Josh Prenot\u00a0<\/strong>(51.25), and Chian&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Peng Wang\u00a0<\/strong>(51.40) finished third through fifth. Hong Kong&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chun Nam Derick Ng\u00a0<\/strong>(52.53), Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daiya Seto\u00a0<\/strong>(53.84) and Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicholaas Dane Dekker\u00a0<\/strong>(54.74) rounded out the final.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Backstroke<\/h3>\n<p>With a half second margin of victory, Hosszu claimed her first event of the day in 56.30. Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Seebohm\u00a0<\/strong>posted a 56.82 ahead of Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daryna Zevina\u00a0<\/strong>(57.92).<\/p>\n<p>American teammates\u00a0<strong>Lucie Nordmann\u00a0<\/strong>(58.13) and\u00a0<strong>Regan Smith\u00a0<\/strong>(58.34)\u00a0touched just before Canadian duo\u00a0<strong>Danielle Hanus\u00a0<\/strong>(58.79) and\u00a0<strong>Hilary Caldwell\u00a0<\/strong>(59.43). China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yixin Wu\u00a0<\/strong>(59.46) finished eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Backstroke<\/h3>\n<p>With a 23.02\u00a0<strong>Pavel Sankovich\u00a0<\/strong>of Belarus won the 50 backstroke. Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Miguel Ortiz-Canavate\u00a0<\/strong>(23.54) was second. Australian\u00a0<strong>Mitch Larkin\u00a0<\/strong>and Russian\u00a0<strong>Stanislav Donetc\u00a0<\/strong>tied for third in 23.71.<\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lai Yeung Chung\u00a0<\/strong>(25.23),\u00a0<strong>Kai Hong Henry Ng\u00a0<\/strong>(25.52), and\u00a0<strong>Cheuk Hei Matthew Chung\u00a0<\/strong>(25.71) were fifth, seventh, and eighth. American\u00a0<strong>Clark Beach\u00a0<\/strong>(25.45) finished sixth.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Butterfly<\/h3>\n<p>Hosszu posted a 2:06.09 to win another event, ahead of fellow Hungarian\u00a0<strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos\u00a0<\/strong>in 2:07.51. They were also joined in the top eight by Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Evelin Verraszto\u00a0<\/strong>(2:12.30) in fifth.<\/p>\n<p>Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katerine Savard\u00a0<\/strong>(2:08.82) and Hong Kong&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kin Lok Chan\u00a0<\/strong>(2:10.64) finished third and fourth.<\/p>\n<p>Wrapping up the final were\u00a0<strong>Tsz Ching\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Chan\u00a0<\/strong>(2:14.84),\u00a0<strong>Camille Wishaupt\u00a0<\/strong>(2:16.82) and\u00a0<strong>Long Yan Esther To\u00a0<\/strong>(2:20.73).<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 IM<\/h3>\n<p>It was a tight battle for podium spots tonight. Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daiya Seto\u00a0<\/strong>got to the wall first in 1:53.09. American\u00a0<strong>Josh Prenot\u00a0<\/strong>stopped the clock in 1:53.63 and Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Philip Heintz\u00a0<\/strong>was third with a 1:53.95.<\/p>\n<p>USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael Andrew\u00a0<\/strong>(1:58.87), Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Peter Bernek\u00a0<\/strong>(1:59.93), and Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ippei Watanabe\u00a0<\/strong>(1:59.99) also cleared two minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Austria&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sebastian Steffan\u00a0<\/strong>(2:01.46) and the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sean Grieshop\u00a0<\/strong>(2:05.84) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 400 Freestyle<\/h3>\n<p>While American high school senior\u00a0<strong>Sierra Schmidt\u00a0<\/strong>led prelims, Hosszu got her hand to the wall first with a 4:05.31. Schmidt posted a 4:06.76 and China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Junjun Guo\u00a0<\/strong>took bronze in 4:08.35.<\/p>\n<p>New Zealand&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emma Robinson\u00a0<\/strong>(4:13.02) and Hong Kong&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tsoi Lam Katii Tang\u00a0<\/strong>(4:14.71) finished fourth and fifth.<\/p>\n<p>Canadian\u00a0<strong>Olivia Anderson\u00a0<\/strong>(4:14.84), China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jiayi Lyu\u00a0<\/strong>(4:15.83) and USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Joy Field\u00a0<\/strong>(4:17.72) also swam in tonight&#8217;s final.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Freestyle<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Vladimir Morozov\u00a0<\/strong>sprinted to the top of the podium. The Russian stopped the clock in 21.16. the whole heat was spread by less than a second. Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Benjamin Proud\u00a0<\/strong>(21.33) and Le Clos (21.45) also took home prize money.<\/p>\n<p>Finland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ari-Pekka Liukkonen\u00a0<\/strong>(21.57) was .02 faster than South Africa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Roland Schoeman\u00a0<\/strong>(21.59) and .05 quicker than American\u00a0<strong>Anthony Ervin\u00a0<\/strong>(21.62).<\/p>\n<p>New Zealand&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daniel Hunter\u00a0<\/strong>(21.73) and USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael Andrew\u00a0<\/strong>(22.03) finished seventh and eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Breaststroke<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Yulia Efimova\u00a0<\/strong>got to the wall first (2:16.49) ahead of four Americans.\u00a0<strong>Breeja Larson\u00a0<\/strong>(2:17.99),\u00a0<strong>Molly Hannis\u00a0<\/strong>(2:21.85)<strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Zoe Bartel\u00a0<\/strong>(2:24.87), and <strong>Brooke Forde\u00a0<\/strong>(2:25.54)\u00a0finished second through fifth.<\/p>\n<p>Wrapping up the event was\u00a0<strong>Rainbow IP\u00a0<\/strong>(2:34.33),\u00a0<strong>Dana Ann Chan\u00a0<\/strong>(2:36.27), and\u00a0<strong>Gabriella Jia Yun Wei\u00a0<\/strong>(2:38.30).<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 IM<\/h3>\n<p>Hosszu (58.21) led Atkinson (58.76) and Seebohm (59.11) under a minute in the 100 IM.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kanako Watanabe\u00a0<\/strong>of Japan (1:00.20) and Finland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hanna-Maria Seppala\u00a0<\/strong>(1:01.63) touched fourth and fifth.<\/p>\n<p>Austria&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lisa Zaiser\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.03) was just faster than Canadians\u00a0<strong>Danielle Hanus\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.21) and\u00a0<strong>Sarah Darcel\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.50).<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Backstroke<\/h3>\n<p>Larkin unleashed a 1:50.33 for the win in the final backstroke event. Pinzon Garcia registered a 1:53.19 and Bernek posted a 1:54.07. Finishing fourth was Beach (1:55.89), one place higher than fellow American\u00a0<strong>Austin Katz\u00a0<\/strong>(1:57.34).<\/p>\n<p>France&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mexence Orange\u00a0<\/strong>(1:57.55), Hong Kong&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yau Ming Cheung\u00a0<\/strong>(2:01.77) and American\u00a0<strong>Sean Grieshop\u00a0<\/strong>(2:04.71) also raced again tonight.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Butterfly<\/h3>\n<p>Ottesen blasted a 25.65 ahead of Seebohm (26.01) who edged Atkinson (26.08). Canadians Savard and\u00a0<strong>Michelle Williams\u00a0<\/strong>(26.52) were fourth and fifth.<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Xintong Lin\u00a0<\/strong>(26.61), Hong Kong&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hang Yu Sze\u00a0<\/strong>(26.66) and USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Eva Merrell\u00a0<\/strong>(26.77) all finished in close succession.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 1500 Freestyle<\/h3>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mykhallo Romanchuk\u00a0<\/strong>(14:18.53) and Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gergely Gyurta\u00a0<\/strong>(14:43.61) both finished under 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>The next four finishers: American\u00a0<strong>Andrew Abruzzo\u00a0<\/strong>(15:04.42), Taipei&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Che-Tu Hsu\u00a0<\/strong>(15:52.25), Hong Kong&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Xian Hao Jonathan Liao\u00a0<\/strong>(15:52.67) and\u00a0<strong>Chak Hang Lam\u00a0<\/strong>(15:53.47) were faster than 16 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ming Hong Wong\u00a0<\/strong>(16:02.94) and\u00a0<strong>Ming Hong Cheuk\u00a0<\/strong>(16:13.30) finished seventh and eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 400 IM<\/h3>\n<p>Hosszu finished the World Cup in winning fashion with a 4:28.50.
