He is from Worthington, Ohio where he swims for Worthington Swim Club and is a senior at Thomas Worthington High School.<\/p>\n<p>Finch shared,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I am proud to announce my commitment to Iona college! I felt right at home the second I stepped on campus and met the team. The coaches Nick and Tony made it clear early on they wanted a MAAC championship and I can&#8217;t wait to be a part of that! Go Gaels!&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>His best times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>200 IM 1:55.59<\/li>\n<li>100 Back 52.90<\/li>\n<li>200 Back 1:54.29<\/li>\n<li>100 Fly 51.96<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Iona College finished fifth at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2016-maac-championships\" target=\"_blank\">2016 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships<\/a>. Finch will contribute to those efforts. Last season, his best time would have made him a 200 IM B finalist. Underclassmen took 11 of 16 finals spots in that event last year, so it should stay quite competitive for the next few years. Finch would have been the Gaels&#8217; top finisher. He will join an IM group that was led by\u00a0<strong>Samuel Brziel\u00a0<\/strong>(1:56.55) and\u00a0<strong>Matthew Bosse\u00a0<\/strong>(1:57.21) last year. The sophomore-freshman duo finished as alternates at last year&#8217;s meet.<\/p>\n<p>His best 100 backstroke time would also landed Finch in the B final. Bosse turned in a fourth place 51.37 in that event last year. Sophomore\u00a0<strong>David Ciaverelli<\/strong> was a B finalist with a 53.05.
