Hit refresh for the latest coverage.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>The first finals race of the Tokyo stop was highlighted by a sprint showdown between Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kyle Chalmers<\/strong> and Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Vladimir Morozov<\/strong>. One of the fastest off the start and turning first at the 50-meter mark was Morozov out-splitting Chalmers 21.94 to 22.10. None of that deterred the young Australian as he turned up the heat to finish first with a 46.12 over Morozov&#8217;s 46.15.<\/p>\n<p>Chalmers win sits as not only his second gold medal of the 2016 World Cup Series, but also marks the first time in the series that Morozov has not won the 100 free. Additionally, the time lowers Chalmers World Junior Record of 46.61 set a few days ago in Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow Australian\u00a0<strong>Tommaso D&#8217;Orsogna<\/strong> rounded out the podium with a 46.91, while Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shinri Shioura<\/strong> touched fourth with a 47.17.<\/p>\n<p>Belgium&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Pieter Timmers<\/strong> (47.43), Australias\u00a0<strong>Brayden McCarthy\u00a0<\/strong>(47.84),\u00a0<strong>Kenta Ito\u00a0<\/strong>(47.94), and Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Clyde Lewis<\/strong> (48.08) completed the heat.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> clocked her first gold medal showing of the Tokyo stop with a 1:53.34 finish in the women&#8217;s 200 free, leading the event from start to finish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Madison Wilson\u00a0<\/strong>of Australia took home silver with a final time of 1:54.45, while Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos\u00a0<\/strong>moved up from the middle of the pack to finish third with a 1:54.54.<\/p>\n<p>The Australian duo of\u00a0<strong>Carla Buchanan\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Madeline Groves\u00a0<\/strong>turned in fourth and fifth place finishes of 1:55.06 and 1:55.16 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katerine Savard<\/strong> (1:55.25),\u00a0<strong>Tonomi Aoki\u00a0<\/strong>(1:55.91), and China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Wu Yue<\/strong> (1:57.50) were sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Breast:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Felipe Lima<\/strong> of Brazil topped the competition in finals of the men&#8217;s 50 breaststroke, stopping the clock at a 26.25 for the gold.<\/p>\n<p>South Africa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Roland Schoeman\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed second with a 26.61, while\u00a0<strong>Kouichirou Okazaki<\/strong> and the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong> posted close finishes of 26.88 and 26.89 for third and fourth.<\/p>\n<p>Close behind them was\u00a0<strong>Yoshiki Yamanaka\u00a0<\/strong>with a 26.90 and\u00a0<strong>Yuuki Matsumura\u00a0<\/strong>with a 26.91.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Riyo Kobayashi\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Ryuto Shioiri\u00a0<\/strong>posted times of 27.21 and 27.31 for seventh and eighth respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Back:<\/h3>\n<p>Jamaica&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alia Atkinson\u00a0<\/strong>led finals of the women&#8217;s 100 breaststroke from start to finish, touching in a final 1:02.91 to be the only swimmer under the 1:03-mark.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yulia Efimova<\/strong> of Russia turned in a 1:03.09 for the silver, followed by\u00a0<strong>Miho Teramura&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>time of \u00a01:04.05.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Molly Hannis<\/strong> of the USA picked up fourth overall with a 1:04.18, just ahead of\u00a0<strong>Rie Kanetou&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>1:04.91.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Misaki Sekiguchi\u00a0<\/strong>(1:05.90), Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rachel Nicol<\/strong> (1:05.94), and\u00a0<strong>Reona Aoki\u00a0<\/strong>(1:06.29) finished sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p>The women&#8217;s 100 fly final was highlighted by a wealth of talent as\u00a0<strong>Kelsi Worrell, Jeanette Ottesen, Katinka Hosszu<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Rikako Ikee<\/strong> raced for the coveted podium spots.<\/p>\n<p>Worrell, who made her World Cup debut a few days ago at the Singapore stop, edged out the competition with a final time of 55.84.<\/p>\n<p>Ottesen, the leader at the 50-meter mark with a 26.14 split, settled for second with a 55.91, followed closely by Hosszu and her time of 56.02.<\/p>\n<p>The young Ikee slipped to third, but finished in World Junior record fashion with a 56.42.<\/p>\n<p>The USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Eva Merrell\u00a0<\/strong>picked up fifth with a 58.07, while\u00a0<strong>Asuka Kobayashi\u00a0<\/strong>was sixth with a 58.20.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kin Lok Chan\u00a0<\/strong>of Hong Kong turned in a 58.26 for seventh, just ahead of Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Madeline Groves<\/strong> (58.31).<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Back:<\/h3>\n<p>The final of the men&#8217;s 100 back was highlighted by a tight field of competition as the top six athletes finished a slim .49 seconds apart.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mitch Larkin\u00a0<\/strong>led the charge with a top showing of 50.23, followed closely by\u00a0<strong>Masaki Kaneko&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>second place finish of 50.36.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Junya Koga<\/strong>, the leader at the 50-meter mark, settled for third and a 50.45, while Belarus&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Pavel Sankovich\u00a0<\/strong>took fourth with a 50.56.<\/p>\n<p>Fifth place fell to Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Stanislav Donetc<\/strong> (50.58), just ahead of Romania&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Robert Glinta<\/strong> and his final time of 50.72.<\/p>\n<p>Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Miguel Ortiz-Canavate<\/strong> (51.81) and\u00a0<strong>Tesuya Iwata<\/strong> (51.93) touched seventh and eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Back:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> of Hungary claimed her second gold medal of the meet in finals of the women&#8217;s 50 back, dashing to a final time of 26.23.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Seebohm\u00a0<\/strong>picked up the silver with a close 26.30, while third fell to\u00a0<strong>Miyuki Takemura<\/strong> and her time of 26.57.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daryna Zevina<\/strong> of Ukraine touched fourth overall with a 26.76, followed by\u00a0<strong>Emi Moronuki&#8217;s<\/strong> 26.81.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Masumi Takaba<\/strong> (27.08),\u00a0<strong>Natsumi Sakai<\/strong> (27.15), and Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Madison Wilson\u00a0<\/strong>(27.36) delivered sixth through eighth place finishes.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Daiya Seto<\/strong> of Japan battled South Africa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chad le Clos<\/strong> for the title in the men&#8217;s 200 fly. The two have exchanged the title a few times throughout the 2016 FINA World Cup Series with Seto claiming the victory at the previous stop in Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>Seto maintained his title with a final time of 1:49.93, coming from behind at the 100-meter mark to secure a lead in the back half of the race. Le Clos settled for second with a 1:50.35.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Masato Sakai\u00a0<\/strong>completed the podium with a final time of 1:51.30, while fourth was picked up by\u00a0<strong>Nao Horomura&#8217;s<\/strong> 1:52.94.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kenta Hirai<\/strong> finished fifth overall with a 1:53.00, followed by\u00a0<strong>Syun Watarai<\/strong> (1:55.25) and\u00a0<strong>Masayuki Umemoto<\/strong> (1:56.00).<\/p>\n<p>Eighth place went to\u00a0<strong>Masafumi\u00a0<\/strong><b>Ohsaka\u00a0<\/b>and his time of 1:56.23.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 IM:<\/h3>\n<p>Not long after earning the top time in the women&#8217;s 50 back,\u00a0<strong>Katinka Hosszu\u00a0<\/strong>was back in the water for the finals of the women&#8217;s 200 IM. Hosszu continued her dominance over the event with a top showing of 2:04.56.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miho Teramura<\/strong> clocked a 2:06.11 for the silver medal, while Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yulia Efimova<\/strong> earned bronze with a 2:07.33.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yui Ohhashi\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth overall with a 2:07.91, just ahead of Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos\u00a0<\/strong>and her time of 2:08.15.<\/p>\n<p>Vietnam&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anh Vien Nguyen\u00a0<\/strong>turned in a 2:09.39 for sixth, followed by\u00a0<strong>Hiroko Makino<\/strong> (2:09.45) and\u00a0<strong>Rika Oomoto<\/strong> (2:10.82).<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 400 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mykhailo Romanchuk\u00a0<\/strong>delivered the top time in finals of the men&#8217;s 400 free, stopping the clock at a 3:39.67.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yuuki Kobori<\/strong> finished second overall with a 3:42.35, followed by\u00a0<strong>Katsuhiro Matsumoto<\/strong> and his time of 3:43.19.<\/p>\n<p>Germany&#8217;s <strong>Poul Zellmann<\/strong> picked up fourth with a 3:43.55, just ahead of Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>James Guy&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>3:43.83.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tsubasa<\/strong> Amai (3:44.60), <strong>Naito Ehara<\/strong> (3:45.21), and Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Masato Sakai\u00a0<\/strong>(3:46.03) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>Denmark&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jeanette Ottesen\u00a0<\/strong>dashed ahead of the competition in finals of the women&#8217;s 50 free, turning in the only sub 24-second time of the event. Ottesen clocked a 23.80 to add a gold medal to her collection for the session.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aliaksandra Herasimenia<\/strong> of Belarus picked up second overall with a 24.04 finish, while Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michelle Williams\u00a0<\/strong>completed the podium with a 24.25.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Seebohm\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth overall with a 24.32, just ahead of the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kelsi Worrell\u00a0<\/strong>and her 24.58.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rikako Ikee<\/strong> (24.61), Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Carla Buchanan<\/strong> (24.84), and China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Wu Yue\u00a0<\/strong>(25.00) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Breast:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Marco Koch\u00a0<\/strong>of Germany continued to deliver top times in the men&#8217;s 200 breaststroke, successfully defending his title with a 2:01.43 finish.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ippei Watanabe<\/strong> was second overall with a 2:03.56, followed closely by\u00a0<strong>Yukihiro Takahashi&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>2:03.97.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kazuki Kohinata<\/strong> posted a fourth place finish of 2:04.25, while fifth went to\u00a0<strong>Kabuki Watanabe<\/strong> and his time of 2:05.04.<\/p>\n<p>Sixth through eighth place went to\u00a0<strong>Kohei Gotou<\/strong> (2:05.66),\u00a0<strong>Kabuki Hayashi<\/strong> (2:06.03), and\u00a0<strong>Yuuta Oshikiri<\/strong> (2:07.58).<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 IM:<\/h3>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Vladimir Morozov<\/strong> delivered the top time in finals of the men&#8217;s 100 IM, posting a 50.55 to finish more than a second ahead of the competition.<\/p>\n<p>The Japanese duo of\u00a0<strong>Shinri Shioura<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Daiya Seto\u00a0<\/strong>took second and third with times of 51.93 and 52.09 respectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Philip Heintz<\/strong> of Germany turned in a 52.63, good for fourth overall, just ahead of the American duo of\u00a0<strong>Josh Prenot\u00a0<\/strong>(52.80) and\u00a0<strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong> (53.02).<\/p>\n<p>Belarus&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Pavel Sankovich\u00a0<\/strong>finished seventh with a 52.07, followed by\u00a0<strong>Tesuya Iwata<\/strong> (53.41).<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Back:<\/h3>\n<p>Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katinka Hosszu\u00a0<\/strong>turned in a 2:01.72 to top the finals heat of the women&#8217;s 200 back and earn her fourth gold medal of the session.<\/p>\n<p>Australian backstroker\u00a0<strong>Emily Seebohm\u00a0<\/strong>took home the silver with a final time of 2:02.27, followed closely by Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daryna Zevina<\/strong> and her time of 2:02.71.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sayaka Akase\u00a0<\/strong>posted a fourth place finish of 2:03.02, while Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Madison Wilson\u00a0<\/strong>was sixth with a 2:05.80.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miki Takahashi<\/strong> (2:06.27), Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hilary Caldwell\u00a0<\/strong>(2:06.33), and the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Regan Smith<\/strong> (2:06.52) finished sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Chad le Clos\u00a0<\/strong>of South Africa topped the competition in finals of the men&#8217;s 50 fly with a 22.30 showing.<\/p>\n<p>Picking up second was\u00a0<strong>Takeshi Kawamoto\u00a0<\/strong>with a time of 22.59, followed by South Africa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Roland Schoeman\u00a0<\/strong>and his time of 22.86.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrii Govorov<\/strong> finished fourth overall with a time of 22.95, while\u00a0<strong>Ranmaru Harada<\/strong> was fifth with a 22.99.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kouhei Kawamoto<\/strong> (23.12),\u00a0<strong>Yoshinori Muramatsu\u00a0<\/strong>(23.34), and\u00a0<strong>Kengo Ida<\/strong> (23.41) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 800 Free:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Boglarka Kapas<\/strong> of Hungary out-lasted the competition in the women&#8217;s 800 free, winning gold by close to five seconds with a time of 8:12.79.<\/p>\n<p>The Netherlands&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Sharon van Rouwendaal<\/strong> took second overall with a final time of 8:17.54, while China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Dong Jie\u00a0<\/strong>posted a third place finish of 8:23.52.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guo Junjun<\/strong> of China grabbed fourth overall with a close 8:23.83, followed by the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sierra Schmidt\u00a0<\/strong>and her time of 8:24.09.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kiah Melverton<\/strong> (8:28.12),\u00a0<strong>Misato Iwanaga<\/strong> (8:27.67), and\u00a0<strong>Yuuna Kikuchi<\/strong> (8:29.60) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 400 IM:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Daiya Seto<\/strong> of Japan added a second gold to his collection with a 4:03.42 win in the finals of the men&#8217;s 400 IM.<\/p>\n<p>Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gergely Gyurta\u00a0<\/strong>picked up the silver with a time of 4:04.28, followed by Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Philip Heintz<\/strong> and his time of 4:04.48.<\/p>\n<p>The USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Josh Prenot\u00a0<\/strong>turned in a fourth place finish of 4:05.10, while\u00a0<strong>Takeharu Fujimori<\/strong> was fifth with a 4:05.98.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tomoya Takeuchi<\/strong>
