For more information about Agon, visit their website <a href=\"https:\/\/agonswim.com\/\">AgonSwim.com<\/a>.<\/i><\/i><\/p>\n<p>Freestyle sprint specialist and Olympic Trials Qualifier <strong>Sam Disette<\/strong> of Blue Valley North High School and Kansas Swim Academy has announced his commitment to swim for the University of Alabama. The defending <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/sm-east-6a-maize-5-1a-take-home-kansas-boys-state-high-school-titles\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kansas 6A State Champ<\/a> in the 50 and the 100 Free, Disette is still a relative novice to the pool, with less than three years of experience as a competitive swimmer after years spent honing his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kansascity.com\/sports\/high-school\/article71950912.html\">basketball skills<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Although his current best times are slightly outside scoring range at the SEC Championships, the Tide can anticipate continued improvement as Disette will join a freestyle sprint training group led by <strong>Laurent Bams<\/strong>, <strong>Robert Howard<\/strong> and <strong>Luke Kalisak<\/strong> as he makes the transition to college swimming in Tuscaloosa.<\/p>\n<p>His best times are (SCY\/LCM):<\/p>\n<p>50 Free 20.67\/23.21<br \/>\n100 Free 46.02\/53.06<br \/>\n100 Fly 51.88\/58.50<\/p>\n<p>Disette is excited about his future with the Tide:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I decided to commit to the University of Alabama, because the team gave me the strong feel of family.
