Ottesen stopped the clock at a 51.97 to claim her first gold of the day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> of Hungary finished second, just ahead of the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kelsi Worrell<\/strong>. Hosszu posted a 52.42 over Worrell&#8217;s 52.46.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Madison Wilson\u00a0<\/strong>of Australia finished fourth overall with a 52.69, followed by the Canadian duo of\u00a0<strong>Michelle Williams\u00a0<\/strong>(53.70) and\u00a0<strong>Katerine Savard<\/strong> (54.14).<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Carla Buchanan\u00a0<\/strong>took seventh with a 54.23 and China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Wu Yue\u00a0<\/strong>was eighth with a 54.28.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>After setting a World Junior record in the 100 free yesterday, Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kyle Chalmers\u00a0<\/strong>added a top showing in the men&#8217;s 200 free finals. Sankovich stopped the clock at a 23.01, followed by a close 23.18 from Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Miguel Ortiz-Canavate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitch Larkin<\/strong> of Australia added a bronze medal to his collection with a 23.29 finish.<\/p>\n<p>The Russian duo of\u00a0<strong>Stanislav Donetc<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Vladimir Morozov<\/strong> posted final times of 23.41 and 23.64 respectively to finish fourth and fifth.<\/p>\n<p>Australians\u00a0<strong>Clyde Lewis, Hayden Lewis<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Ben Edmonds<\/strong> completed the heat with times of 24.45, 24.79, and 24.91 respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p>Shortly after her top showing in the 100 back finals,\u00a0<strong>Katinka Hosszu\u00a0<\/strong>of Hungary added a second gold in the women&#8217;s 200 fly with a final time of 2:05.95.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow Hungarian\u00a0<strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos<\/strong> claimed the silver medal with a 2:06.24, while Singapore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicholle Toh\u00a0<\/strong>took third with a 2:11.26.<\/p>\n<p>Austria&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caroline Hechenbichler<\/strong> was a close fourth with a final time of 2:11.69.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Micaela Habib\u00a0<\/strong>of Australia finished fifth with a 2:17.76.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jamie Koo<\/strong>\u00a0(2:25.23),\u00a0<strong>\u00a0Ashley Lim\u00a0<\/strong>(2:28.55), and\u00a0<strong>Herlene Yu\u00a0<\/strong>(2:29.41) were sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 iM:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Daiya Seto<\/strong> of Japan led finals of the men&#8217;s 200 IM throughout the majority of the race, touching with a final time of 1:52.80.<\/p>\n<p>Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Philip Heintz<\/strong> grabbed second overall with a 1:53.67, while the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Josh Prenot\u00a0<\/strong>finished third with a 1:54.19.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ippei Watanabe<\/strong> of Japan delivered a 1:57.18 for fourth, followed by Colombia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Omar Pinzon Garcia<\/strong> was fifth with a 1:59.12.<\/p>\n<p>Austria&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sebastian Steffan\u00a0<\/strong>(2:01.15), the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christopher Jhong\u00a0<\/strong>(2:01.31), and Hong Kong&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ho Lun Raymond Mak<\/strong> (2:03.03) completed\u00a0the heat.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 400 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katinka Hosszu\u00a0<\/strong>picked up her third gold medal in a come-from-behind victory in finals of the women&#8217;s 400 free. Hosszu battled Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Boglarka Kapas<\/strong> and China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Dong Jie\u00a0<\/strong>in the final 50-meters of the race to finish first with a 4:01.18.<\/p>\n<p>Kapas, who led throughout the majority of the race, finished second with a time of 4:01.38, while Dong settled for third and a 4:02.34.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guo Junjun<\/strong> of China touched fourth with a time of 4:08.25, followed by Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kiah Melverton&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>4:10.92.<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lyu Jiayi<\/strong> (4:12.42), the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Miranda Heckman<\/strong> (4:12.66), and Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Olivia Anderson\u00a0<\/strong>(4:15.17) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Free:<\/h3>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Vladimir Morozov<\/strong> turned in the only sub-21 second time in finals of the splash and dash, stopping the clock at a 20.86. Morozov, who has won the 50 free at all seven stops of the World Cup so far in 2016, flirted with the World Cup record of 20.57.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chad le Clos<\/strong> of South Africa got his hand to the wall just ahead of Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shinri Shioura<\/strong>, touching with a 21.24 over Shioura&#8217;s 21.25.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ari-Pekka Liukkonen<\/strong> of Finland grabbed fourth with a 21.42, followed by New Zealand&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daniel Hunter\u00a0<\/strong>and his time of 21.58.<\/p>\n<p>Spain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Miguel Ortiz-Canavate<\/strong> (21.66), South Africa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Roland Schoeman\u00a0<\/strong>(21.73), and Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tommaso D&#8217;Orsogna\u00a0<\/strong>(21.74) picked up sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Breast:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Breeja Larson<\/strong> of the USA maintained her spot atop the leaderboard in finals of the women&#8217;s 200 breaststroke, delivering a final time of 2:18.95 for the gold.<\/p>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yulia Efimova\u00a0<\/strong>added another silver to her collection with a 2:19.08 finish, while Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kanako Watanabe\u00a0<\/strong>was third with a 2:21.50.<\/p>\n<p>The Australian duo of\u00a0<strong>Jenna\u00a0<\/strong><b>Strauch\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0<strong>Abbey Harkin\u00a0<\/strong>posted fourth and fifth place finishes of 2:25.44 and 2:26.03 respectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hrafnhildur Luthersdottir<\/strong> of Iceland finished sixth overall with a 2:27.19, followed by Singapore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christie Chue<\/strong> (2:30.51) and Canaa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rachel Nicol\u00a0<\/strong>(2:31.01).<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 IM:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> of Hungary rebounded from a tight win in the women&#8217;s 400 free with another tight finish in finals of the women&#8217;s 100 IM. Hosszu came from behind to out-touch Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Seebohm<\/strong> 58.45 to 58.54.<\/p>\n<p>Jamaica&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alia Atkinson\u00a0<\/strong>posted the only other sub-one minute time at a 58.75.<\/p>\n<p>The Austrian duo of\u00a0<strong>Lena Kruendl\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Lisa Zaiser<\/strong> turned in times of 1:01.02 and 1:01.23 for fourth and fifth respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katerine Savard<\/strong> (1:01.43), Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Carla Buchanan<\/strong> (1:01.58), and Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kanako Watanabe<\/strong> (1:03.87) completed the final heat.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Back:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Mitch Larkin<\/strong> of Australia led the men&#8217;s 200 back from start to finish, turning in a final time of 1:50.22 to finish more than three seconds ahead of the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Colombia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Omar Pinzon Garcia<\/strong> grabbed a shy second place finish over Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Clyde Lewis<\/strong>. Garcia stopped the clock at a 1:53.75 over Lewis&#8217; 1:53.77.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stanislav Donetc\u00a0<\/strong>of Russia took fourth with a 1:54.36.<\/p>\n<p>The heat was completed by a field of Australians, led by\u00a0<strong>Tristan Ludlow&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>1:56.71.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hayden Lewis<\/strong> (1:57.54),\u00a0<strong>Ben Edmonds\u00a0<\/strong>(1:57.76), and\u00a0<strong>Hayden Hinds-Sydenham\u00a0<\/strong>(1:57.95) were sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Fly:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Jeanette Ottesen<\/strong> of Denmark garnered another gold in finals of the women&#8217;s 50 fly, touching the wall with a final 25.11.<\/p>\n<p>The USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kelsi Worrell\u00a0<\/strong>posted a second-place finish of 25.45, followed by Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Seebohm<\/strong> and her time of 25.91.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katerine Savard<\/strong> of Canada posted a fourth place finish of 26.01, just ahead of Jamaica&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alia Atkinson&#8217;s<\/strong> 26.17.<\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hang Yu Sze<\/strong> (26.39), Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ellysia Oldsen\u00a0<\/strong>(26.79), and Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> (27.26) finished sixth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 1500 Free:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Mykhailo Romanchuk<\/strong> of Ukraine swept past the existing world cup record in finals of the men&#8217;s 1500 free, delivering a final time of 14:15.49.
